Spearfishing doctor fights off shark with a knife... then calmly stitches up the bites before going to the pub
<div>
- James Grant, 24, was attacked while fishing off New Zealand coast
- Did not realise he had been bitten until he removed his wetsuit
- Sewed himself up with the first aid kit he kept in his car
- Then went to the pub with friends... where he bled on the floor

Good luck getting any sympathy from that doctor
He has to no better than to just stitch it up and move on, there is a lot of nasty stuff in a sharks mouth. Guess that's why he is 24 and a doctor over there, maybe there is a perk to making our guys go through so much school.
liked this line from the paper "Attacks by the sevengill are relatively common around the Southland and Otago coast"
But I thought Sharks don't attack people almost ever according to discovery?
