lol mallett

Quote:What QB (including Brady) in the Patriots preseason games over the last several years has looked good?
Are you trying to say that since it is only preseason that Mallett is purposefully stepping all over himself and purposefully airmailing and skipping balls into double and triple teams...and that presumably if he were to get regular season meaningful snaps that he would magically morph into an efficient, decisive franchise QB?

No, I'm trying to illustrate that with the Pats lack of weapons on offense, all the QB have been suffering.

But with the QB in place "everything else takes care of itself."

Oh...

Nah, Mallet was throwing to Dobson, Thompkins, and preseason superstar TE Zach Sudfeld. He was playing with extremely competent weapons by second/third string preseason QB standards.

Is this serious?

Is this the same cast of characters that Brady had to will to the AFC champ???

Yes...subpar starters, very solid 2nd/3rd stringers. Mallett has no excuses.

Oh...

It is the most important piece. They'd never have made it to an AFCC without Brady. But his numbers were clearly off. Thats because of the lack of weapons.

I know how hard you're trying.... Laughing

LOL... if you weren't mentally impaired, you'd realize you just destroyed your own former "argument" (and signature)...

LOL, looks like I'm not the one mentally impaired if you cannot comprehend that my former signature still stands, as well as me not contradicting it at all.

You are soooooooo desperate. Laughing
Brian Hoyer would be an immensely better option than Ryan Mallet. If the Browns decide to draft a QB or release Hoyer, the Jags should be looking to scoop him up even if only as a back up.

I am not huge on Bridgewater but I feel he will be an above average QB in the league, I cannot say the same for Mallet who likes to throw to imaginary people which is probably the result of the bender he did last night up his nose.

The thing with Mallet that isn't being said right now is that he would cost a shiny new franchise quarterback contract in the process.  I wouldn't mind rolling with him for a year on this roster to see what's under the hood, but I'm not trading a 2nd or 3rd rounder for him and then paying him 9 million per year.  I'm not comfortable with that type of investment in an unproven player... An investment that would handicap this franchise for at least 2 seasons at minimum if it doesn't work out.

If only Gene Smith was that smart.
