I think he would make a great fit. The Browns have a top notch defense.

With a QB in the draft they will have all the right ingredients to have a great team.

Del Rio is a hellava defensive minded coach. The Jags were in the top 5 a few times and so were the Broncos.
Oh, this is gonna get ugly.

Not surprising....no one decent is left as everyone else is turning them down left and right....

I think Del Rio is a decent guy who probably deserves another shot. I disagree, however, that he's a great defensive mind. In Jax, he ran a base 4-3 with little blitzing, soft zone w/two-deep safeties, and refused to swap corners to allow for the better one to trail the opponent's top receiver. I'm not too familiar with the Broncos' scheme, other than that Pot Roast is beasting out again and they've managed to get pressure despite Vonn Miller's injury, but I bet it's not a super innovative scheme based on Del Rio's previous defenses.
Just sayin... I called this earlier.

Tell the great people of Cleveland congratulations and they can just keep chopping wood.

the main thing about del Rio as a head coach is that he is just too much of a lame duck. I think as a DC he runs a really solid defense. Head coach.....he doesn't focus on the defense and he is too passive. His success would only be a reflection of his staff.
The Browns said they are looking for an offensive guy or Seattle's DC.

Their problem is all of their favorites were in the playoffs.

JDR could have interviewed during the bye week but he wasn't even an option at that time. Now that everyone is turning them down they are scrambling for someone.
It's Go Time!
Good for Jack if he gets the job. Good luck to him.

The Browns wanted to interview Adam Gase, not JDR. Gase said no because he wanted to put all of his energy on the playoffs, so although he could have interviewed during the bye he didn't want to. I am sure JDR would have said the same thing if the Browns had called him up.

Not so fast. Wait until he says yes or no to being interviewed.

That's why I said IF he gets the job. Sheesh, do you even read bro??
Bless their hearts.. they're interviewing Koetter now.

Yup.

I bet Jack turns down the offer and elects to stay with the Broncos.  Regardless, I like the way Cleveland's done this.  They get to select their candidates from the Pats, Niners, Broncos, and Seahawks' best coordinators.

Did Mularkee sign the papers at the tacks yet, if not way dont the browns interview him too and mel tucker too :teehee:

They did interview Josh McDaniels before he turned down the offer. Based on the most recent report, it seems like they are no longer interested in Greg Roman.
The Browns have gotten desperate.  I dont hate Del Rio and I think he did a lot with not a great roster in Jacksonville.

I think he would continue to do the same thing in Cleveland.
