2 of the 4 mock drafts have us selecting Anthony Barr.   I really hope we dont take Barr instead of the top 3 QBs and especially if Clowney is on the board.  I like Barr but not at 3.  If we trade back and select Barr I would be Ok but we need Clowney or one of these top QBs.  I like Mack just as much as Barr, hopefully we dont take Barr at 3.

A+ to whichever mock gives us Bridgewater.
If we're taking a passrusher, I'm leaning toward trading down and getting Mack

If we got a really good deal on the trade-down......I'd be good with that. If not, I'd take Clowney. Kid is gonna wreck havoc behind the line of scrimmage.
There is not a remote chance within the infinite mile radius of hell that the Jaguars skip on Bridgewater or Clowney.

Clowney at 3 unless its a very lucrative offer, perhaps also including a 2015 first rounder.

Agree unless Clowney absolutely bombs the combine interviews or has an off field incident before the draft.
Its almost a guarantee that Clowney will not be there when we pick. If he is its almost a guarantee he will be the pick. Rumor is Dave isnt too high Bridgewater but u never know

Where did you get that?

Teddy wasn't all that impressive that game Dave flew half the scouts out to watch him.

I knew it. I said it then that the Jags would be swayed by that game....which indicates a novice approach to evaluation by the Jags, but here we are, apparently.....

Slow your roll chicken little.

FYI, there is no proof to my knowledge indicating Caldwell was ever even swayed by that game.

BUT I WANNA PANIC AND MAKE FARFETCHED, UNSUPPORTED ASSUMPTIONS NOW!!!!

THE NFL WANTS THE JAGUARS TO SUCK AT EVALUATING QBS!!!!!!
I have gone out of my way to read/watch/hear anything that is released concerning Caldwell - and I've seen nothing to indicate his opinion about Bridgewater or any other quarterback except that " there are some good ones in this draft class" or something to that effect.

All I said was he didn't have a great game. And it was an "under the microscope" moment. I never assumed that was the be all end all of their scouting evaluation. I have no clue who Caldwell likes.
Oh, never mind.

MEEEEE!!!!!

IT'S MEEEEEEEE!!!!
I would be interested to hear or see Bucky Brooks' opinion on why he beiieves Sammy Watkins will drop to pick # 16.   My guessing there would be plenty of celebrating in Baltimore if this somehow happened.

Brooks seems to be generally somewhat on point in his evaluations - but way off on a a number of individual players the past 3 years or so when talking about the draft.

IIRC he had a few guys listed as first rounders last year that went much later.  I guess it's true for most any analysts - but I feel like when I look at his lists of top prospects - there are always a few head-scratchers.
