Doesn't matter to me if the season is lost, I would still like them to win today. If they can get something to finally click during the last few games that's a plus..............am I optimistic that is going to happen? No.
What I do not want to see is any serious injuries this late in a losing season. I think we have a great core of players who with the right coaching staff next year can maybe pick up the pieces and have a successful season.
As far as draft picks go........has it really helped us during the previous losing seasons? We are still racking up losing seasons.
Jags over Minnesota today with a bit of crazy luck.
I agree that the Jaguars will win today. It's just a hunch, but there are a few factors which lead me to this prediction:
1. The Vikings stink almost as much as the Jaguars.
2. There is a connection between Jimmy Smith coming back from his lowest point to being honored today. The Jaguars are certainly also at their lowest point and somehow this will motivate them.
3. I don't see them winning another game this year so if they are to win then this is the week.
In the past, I would be slightly ambivalent about this game due to hurting their draft position, but not this year. This team, and the fans, need a win to feel good at least once following a home game this year and it will make little difference if they end up picking 1 or 2 spots lower. Who really know whether Allen, Garrett or McDowell will be the better pro and they will still get 1 of these guys.
Quote:Ball?
Sorry, meant Jonathan Allen and it got auto-corrected somehow.
Quote:This is the mindset that gives us a week 17 win over the Colts in 2011 that directly got them Andrew luck, and a week 16 TNF win over the Titans that directly got them Marcus Mariota. We would have been in position to get those franchise QBs in both cases.
Clearly those useless late season wins instilled our young players those years with the taste of winning though, since we are doing so much of that now.
Yep - after the first three picks all the good football players are gone.
Quote:Gus will rattle off 4 straight wins to push us into the 12th spot in the draft and dance around the locker room.
Best case scenario is the team pulls off 4 straight wins and Gus still gets fired. But in reality we will be lucky to win 1 more game the rest of the year
Oh man. I just re-woke up, with a much heavier hangover than first realized.
Need eggs and bacy. Need beer because Jaguars. Need Jesus this morning fellas, need Jesus.
Hope they don't piss me off like normal, but go Jags anyway.
Said it already but the Vikings dline gave the Cowboys Oline serious trouble this year. They will totally discombobulate our oline, especially with Linder out.

You got what you wanted, I'm sure it will lead to many years of prosperity for the Jaguars.
Quote:I've been calling [BAD WORD REMOVED] on the vikings all year when they started 5-0 and I stand by it, they are a horrible offense mixed in with a solid defense and this is the time of year our jaguars like to win (you know when we're out of the playoff hunt)
I don't care about draft position, I want our young players like Ramsey/Jack/Fowler etc to start getting a taste of winning, regardless who our QB will be next year.
GO JAGS
17-14 jags
You dumb
