Quote:wasn't the point spread for the Broncos game largest ever?
Yeah, and didn't it prove to be a mistake??
As said, the Jags 2013 roster was never "NFL worst of all time" bad.

Quote:The Raiders and Rams were the only teams that the Jaguars played in the first half of the season that they were competitive with going into halftime.we were down 24-10 at halftime against the Rams, not what i would call competitive
Quote:Yeah, and didn't it prove to be a mistake??arguably the worst in the league now though, only other team close IMO is the Raiders

Quote:So, we regressed then?
Quote:That surely puts the agenda in a delicious catch-22.
If we have, then Mularkey was better and Caldwell should have kept him.
If not...
Oh how the tale spins...
Quote:we were down 24-10 at halftime against the Rams, not what i would call competitive
and against the Raiders, we couldn't even score a TD against a bottom third defense
Quote:Stop this garbage.
The team did not play better out of the bye, they played a string of chumps.
When they came up against another good team at the end of the season (the colts) it looked like one of the games from the first eight. The Jaguars got their butts kicked.
Any improvement you think you saw was illusion.
Quote:Kind of like what you saw with Gabbs, eh? You were his strongest supporter.
What you and TMD don't seem to get is that there are years of damage Caldwell has to erase. Damage that cannot be undone in a single offseason, or even two. Gene Smith was below Matt Millen tier of a General Manager. And he followed Shack Harris, who was not much better.
Bradley was a first year head coach with not just a bottom 5 roster in the NFL, but the worst roster in the NFL. And no, it's not Caldwell's fault that it's the worst. You can't build a house on sand.
Quote:Bradley isn't to blame for the situation, Bradley is to blame for not being great.
That's fine, every team can't have Jim Harbaugh or Bill Cowher, or Bill Parcells. However, it doesn't mean we should be delusional that Bradley is cut of a rare cloth. He appears to be another middle of the road coach, something the Jaguars have been suffering through since Coughlin's firing.

Quote:So, we regressed then?not what I said at all, don't know where you're getting that from
Quote: something the Jaguars have been suffering through since Coughlin's firing.Coughlin was a great coach, his teams always overachieve regardless of talent....oh wait
Quote:Coughlin was a great coach, his teams always overachieve regardless of talent....oh wait
Quote:That statement was true of his teams in Jacksonville. Even his 2 straight 6-10 teams finished with a positive point differential.right so all of the sudden he doesn't know how to coach anymore?
Quote:Bill Parcells went 3-12 in his first year as a head coach. He didn't beat a single team with a winning record. That was a Giants team with Lawrence freaking Taylor on it. The next year Phil Simms was drafted by the Giants.wait a minute, you're not suggesting that we actually see what Bradley can do with a roster with talent on it are you?
Parcells first year with the Patriots wasn't much better at 5-11.

Quote:Just curious why some people feel Bradley isn't an X and O guy. Has there been substantial proof supporting the claim? Is it because the team only won four games?of course not, just a gut feeling which is all some need
