LOL, the above is ridiculous. Nobody was "making a big deal out of nothing" they were commenting on what was initially shown.

Actually the tables were the same.  They just had table cloths on them as you can see from the table under the logo.  Also if you look in both pictures you can see the logo on the wall behind Gus and Dave.  They dressed up the war room for the draft, but that doesn't fit what you were saying so you can't (choose not to) see it.

Whatever they did, it represented a heckuva lot better than that initial shot, and thats the point. You cannot sit there and act like the shot with the 4 war rooms and Jacksonville's looking like a hot dog stand in comparison in that one shot, didn't "look bad". 

 

Why can't people around here just admit obvious truths? They are so hypersensitive.

Would I have cared if that was the actual way it looked during the draft?  Probably, but really I thought it was kind of funny seeing the picture.

 

The fact that the picture you thought was the draft doesn't matter because that's not how the room was in the draft.

But it wasn't and you know that.  I could give a crap less what other people think of the Jaguars.  When they say something about it I just tell them the truth and then prove it to them if they don't believe it.  Kind of like I had to prove to you that the rooms were the same in the 2 pictures.  That's the quickest way to get people to understand that they shouldn't always believe what the networks say.  

 

After doing that a few times to people they know not to bring that BS my way and actually ask me what I want the team to do, how they are improving, and if there is any misinformation out there about the team.

The tables weren't the same.  Those tables in the first pic weren't as wide.  Like I said earlier, they probably got all new equipment for the new GM.  Look at those super comfy chairs.  My guess is that stuff hadn't come in 3 days before draft day.  Gus and Dave were working with bare bones equipment until the new stuff came in (probably later that day)

Different angles of the camera will make it look that way.  Look at everything that is in the room in both pictures side by side and you can tell.  One shows the logo clearly and the other only shows the bottom.  Both photos have the U shaped table on the right of the picture.  One is just covered with a table cloth.  Same exact set up in both photos of all the tables with phones.  Only difference is people and table cloths.

Dude....you think this is just about me??? I'm merely ONE person of MILLIONS that saw that same shot. How many of those people saw that same shot and snickered thinking how bad that looked/ appeared??

 

Image is important, especially in this business. Especially when your potential CUSTOMERS saw that shot too.

Here is a tip for you.  It is better to not worry about things that are out of your control.  

 

If you can't do anything about it, then why spend your time worrying about it.  

 

Like I said, I could care less what other people think of the Jaguars.  Why?  Because I know the truth.  I know that everything reported on them isn't always true.  I do my part by correcting those things with facts that disprove what was reported.  I can change the people's minds who heard the bad reporting.  Other than that, I don't worry about things I cannot change.  

 

If you want to live your life worrying about those things, then go ahead, but you won't live a happier life.

Again, you are missing the bigger picture I think. You understand we are a team that is struggling for the fan's dollars right now, and essentially are fighting for the team's very existence in Jacksonville....Stuff like this can have a negative effect when the public sees it. I'm glad that I found out that it really wasn't the case (with the other picture), but guess what - what about all those people out there that only saw that one shot and now have that in their head as the "truth". The fact that "you & me" know the truth isn't saving this team in Jax long term. Image is important. I hope Khan does what he can to prevent an image like that from surfacing again in the future. I think he will.

Winning is what changes all that.  Not what people say on ESPN who all sports fans widely know mislead and misreport for their agendas.  

 

I don't care what other teams' fans think of our team.  Winning is what gets teams new fans.
