I noted that the NFL is down to the final 15 for this year's Hall of Fame class.  Morton Andersen is among those in the list!!  All Jag fans should vote for him for 1996!!!!!  Not many kickers in the NFL HOF...

In addition,  Ray Guy is one of the two Senior Nominees.

This could be the year that Specialists finally have a major breakthrough,  though it's less likely than not that both specialists will get elected to the HOF in 2014.   My guess is Guy gets in but Andersen has to wait at least one more year.

Morten Andersen holds the NFL's all-time points scored record. He absolutely deserves to get a bust in Canton.

I would like to know why Ray Guy is not already in. Chris Kluwe put "Vote Ray Guy" over his Hall of Fame anniversary patch knowing he would get fined for it. That is how I knew no punters are in the HOF yet.

Agreed.  However,  with many other candidates that had HOF caliber careers being in the running,   Morten Andersen has an uphill battle to get voted in.  Only 5 out of 15 modern era candidates can be voted in from the list of finalists.

To say the least,  I'm not a fan of Chris Kluwe.

As for Ray Guy,  the only reason he's been passed up year after year is the HOF Selection Committee hasn't recognized the value of a great punter that didn't also play on the Offensive or Defensive side of the ball.    There are a number of punters that are in the HOF but they excelled at another position.
