Mason would be the perfect replacement for MJD, one of the best RBs I seen that can run up the middle, has enough speed to get outside, and can catch.

Plus his durability is off the charts had like 48 carries in one game and did not look tired once, he gets better as the ball game goes on, big plays in the 4th.

And it wasnt the system like some thought, he was a 1000 yard rusher before Gus took over, he also broke Bo Jackson rushing record, Bo freaking Jackson.

Would love this kid in the 2nd round, thats an 8-10 year started in the 2nd would be a great pick

He should be available at our pick in the second and when the combine is all said and done he may grade out as one of the best RBs in this year's class.
I'd still hold out and take BAP running back in 3rd or 4th, though he is one of the guys id want.

He said the NFL draft advisory committee gave him a 3rd round grade, which they always grade you a lil lower, which means no way he would be there in the 3rd, I believe the 2nd round is when all the RBs will start to come off the board, we have to strike then, waiting til our 3rd round pick would be a risk.

Mason, Carey, Hyde, Williams, Seastruck, Shanky are the best of the bunch

I think it will come down to Mason and Seatrunk as the first RB to come off the board. I wouldn't be upset with either in the 2nd.
As it stands right now, I wouldn't draft any RB in the 2nd we've got too many other needs.

What would you consider our second biggest need? If we don't resign MJD I would have to say RB, followed by Center.

2nd biggest need if MJD goes? Still guard, corner, Leo, center all over RB

We have a guard, corner and LEO currently. Sure they could all use an upgrade but Rackley, Ball, and Babin have played decently in stretches for whatever its worth. I wouldn't consider those positions as big of a need as Center, which is currently barren and RB, where Robinson and Todman would be competing for the starting position if the season started today.

Very much agree.

Are you going to draft a center or guard in the 2nd? You can still take a RB in the 2nd and an interior OL in a later round.
I would also wait until at least the 3rd round to take a running back. The Jaguars need to go Q.B. and pass rusher in the 1st 2 rounds. I don't care which goes first, although I'd take Bridgewater first if he's still there. There will still be good running backs available in the 3rd and 4th, possibly even a guy like Carlos Hyde. With a better offensive line, Todman and Robinson will be adequate.

I think it would be better to address our lack of a pass rusher in FA and get our QB in the first round. I'm tired of drafting these pass rushers and they not panning out. Lets get someone who's already proven in FA and get our franchise QB at the top of the draft.
Two day 3 RBs (one being Crowell!) with the extra picks plz. The value just isn't there at the top of the RB list this year to me. If Mason and Hyde are the best of the group then it is a sad group.

Nah, even with Sankey, Lache, Sims, Carey included it's still a weak top group to me. The depth of this RB class is nice though. I hope we take advantage of that and shore up other bigger needs with the more quality players in the 2/3 rounds.
Mason or Hyde for me. Prefer Mason but I think his stock will be up and get over drafted. Hyde is a monster, and I hate Ohio.

In the first round yes a Leo or CB over RB any day, but 2nd round a the best RB's who can be your 8 - 10 year starter is better to get then the 4th or 5th CB which will prob wont grade the same as the others that will be there in the 3rd. As far as G and Center you can get them in the other mid rounds.
There will most likely be some WRs carrying first round grades that will be available in the third round because this WR class is so loaded. If we go QB/pass rusher 1st/2nd one way or another as expected I would be upset if we pass on a Robinson, Matthews, Coleman, Cooks, heck maybe one of the LSU guys are there...all far superior prospects to any of the RBs to me.

I don't think I would want to draft a RB with the second round pick, but I wouldn't be mad if it were Mason. Kid is a baller. He's got that juice the coaches look for that's for sure
