Quote:I don't want the Jags trading up at all.
Take the BAP at 3, or trade down and stocklile picks.
I agree with most of your takes regarding draft value / not overpaying to trade up, but if all it takes is a 4th round pick to draft a franchise QB, that is GREAT value.

I guess I don't see a trade like that being available.
I'd take that if available. It would be the same thing as the Blackmon deal.
I just want no part of any sort of mass draft pick package sent in a trade to acquire a single player.

Agreed.
The scenario he proposed was swapping picks for a 4th rounder. I think there will be enough teams calling for that pick that a single 4th rounder would not get the job done.
Quote:Its Manziel or bust
In all honesty, the chances fo making the SB are so slim for each team that I say we take Manziel and enjoy the ride. Everything will be so much more fun around town anticipating the new season.
Quote:If the difference between getting Bridgewater and not getting Bridgewater is a fourth-round pick, I'd take the deal and get Bridgewater.
Quote:This.

Of course, it's a gamble still. You have no way of knowing that you couldn't just sit tight, keep your 4th, and still get Bridgewater. Personally, I'd sit tight and let the draft come to me.

I think it might, simply because the Rams will still be able to get their guy, and possibly even trade down again.

Agree. There isn't much, if anything separating the best QBs from this crop. There's no QB worth moving up for.

I also agree. I think there is a clear cut top 3 QB-wise, of which we will be guaranteed one - or Clowney. None of Bridgewater, Bortles or Manziel has distinguished themselves enough from the other two to trade up for IMO.
