Nice Mock... Based on your results looks like in the second round Carr may be there for us.

Come May I hope somehow that Johnny Manziel makes a slide like Geno did last year. It would a perfect draft to get both Clowney and Manziel 1-2  :woot:

No thanks to Carr.

It'd be nice to have Clowney, but we're not passing on a QB for the 1st pick.

we said that last year. Theres no guarantee. Personally I think we will draft one.At this point, im on the manziel bandwagon. I think teddy is houstons. Id take the chance on manziel. His reward outways his risk. I think he has proven he is the best in the country and can hang with the big boys. His knock is his size and his ability to make plays. That may not transition to the nfl, he will have to stop with those hits he takes. But when I see him, I see a guy who is poised in the pocket, can sit there and make the throws, is dead accurate and puts the ball where he wants. Hes tough and a natural born leader. He just wants to win. The duke game, I was impressed with his leadership. Getting in their faces, showing heart and desire to win. Puking on the sideline because he was so nervous. I love him and his swagger.

The critics had the same things for mjd, his whole life he was told no, too small, not big enough ect. He carried that burden his whole career and the chip. So does manziel. And manziels done nothing but proved EVERYONE wrong with his play. Id take him and no questions asked. Its a risk im willing to take. Its not just intangibles, Gabbert had all that but had no leadership, pocket presence, toughness or the mental aspect of the game. Manziel has that. I think he will be a great pro.

I am not sure what Dave will do in this draft but if Teddy is taken do you really go for Manziel or Blake at 3rd overall when you have guys like Clowney still available?  Its the best available player meets need since our pass rush was still really bad this year.

The normal response to this is that a DE like Clowney won't help win games like a franchise QB would. I would like to have someone like Clowney now and get a QB later in the draft, and if that doesn't work and we have a high draft pick next year to get the best available QB, but then again we've been crappy for so many years I just want to succeed immediately.

It'd suck to get an average QB in the later rounds and be stuck in the mid teens for next years draft.

There was no QB last year that had the talent level like several QB's do this year. I don't think anyone wanted any QB in the draft last year while people want anyone named Manziel TB or Bortles this year. Some even want Carr/Mettenburger/Murray/Mccarron so there are plenty of options to make it hard to pass on a QB.
With so many options at QB a 2nd round pick would seem like the better option, allowing for Clowney!

Go best player available.  Even if those above you don't.
Here is my mock of the top 5

1. Browns (from texans)- Teddy B

2. Vikings (from rams) - Johnny Manziel

3. Jags- Bortles

4. Texans - Clowney

5. Raiders - Sammy Watkins

No such thing. BAP is purely subjective.
is clowney really the BAP, because everything about his work ethic and morals makes me seem like he's the most talented, but it takes more than talent to make it in this league, if that was the case you'd never have a busted draft pick because they'd be good enough to get here. It's just as important to have the right attitude and the work ethic see jerry rice, danny woodhead, and wes welker.

No one thinks Brett Farve re-enters the draft this season?

#3 Jaguars select Luke Del Rio.

The important thing is to stick to your board and not be lead astray by what others are/are not doing.

If there's a "run" on QBs and the next is rated lower than a dozen picks on your board, you don't blindly follow them down the rabbit hole and take one too.

Taking guys where the value doesn't fit because you're in love with a player and/or obsessed with drafting a particular position, you end up with reaches like Alualu, Tebow, and Josh Freeman.

A subjective mistake ends in an objective disaster.

Dang Pirk… that's some deep stuff there.
If we did that...trade our 4th round pick to swap with Washington in round 2 and select Mettenberger.

Put a fork in him he's done.  He might return as an NFL QB coach or as a tv announcer.

Hell no to Mettenburger. No to Carr.. that's about all the no's I can think of.

I don't care much for Bortles, but I'd certainly welcome him first before the above mentioned two.
1.clowny idc how u spell it

2.jake matthews

3.bridgewater

4.manzeil
Marcus Roberson shouldn't be a first rd pick. I'm a Gator fan and he's a late 2nd to early 3rd in my opinion.
