If I had to bet with my own money, I say Ryan Davis will be re-signed. Whether he will make the 2014 roster is a different story.

I'd like to see Bradfield, Pasztor, Todman, and Davis back. Bradfield is about as good of a backup OT as it gets, and Pasztor filled in nicely and has some upside and starting potential. I like Todman because in today's NFL you need home run ability from the RB position and he has it. Ryan Davis knows and fits the scheme as the stand-up roving rusher in their 3rd down pass rushing package
Quote:I feel like Ryan Davis will probably be back too.

And why not? He'll get a minimum salary deal. Almost no risk in bringing him back. I would be surprised if any of the RFA or ERFA are not back at least for camp.
Quote:Perhaps because he had a 100+ yard game and showed some potential.

He (Todman) also showed the home run ability in the pre season.

Plus they mad because MoJo is leaving. snif

I say keep Todman and bring in Bryce Brown with one of the 4th rounders via trade.

Thats a nice 1-2 punch.

Delone Carter

MJD? If he and his agent can be reasonable

Henne:  Good backup and mentor for a young QB

Harbor: Made some plays

Bradfield: Good backup.  Played decent at LT this season

Will Blackmon: Got some talent. Could see him as a #3 cb

Mike Brown: Made some good plays for a QB playing Wr.

Todman: Like him as a #2

Pasztor:  Played well at rt

My list

Paztor

Bradfield

Blackmon

Todman

Davis

Harbor

Those are the guys I would want to see back.  The rest can walk.  Paztor can play RT.  Bradfield is an OK backup at pretty much any position on the line.  Blackmon played well in spurts.  Davis did well for the amount of time he was on the field and can develop into a pass-rushing down DE.  Harbor because we need a TE behind Marcedes and he showed before he got hurt that he can catch consistently.  Todman because I think he goes to the #1 spot if MJD isn't back and if we don't take a RB high in the draft.

I'd be cool with Brown too since we don't have much behind Shorts and Ace at WR depending on what happens with J. Black.

I would love for that to happen, but we're dreaming here.

Why would Philly let him go to the Jags for a measly 4th rounder?  If I were Philly, I would be furious to see Brown go for a 4th.  He's young, has 2 years left on his contract, and McCoy hasn't been the healthiest player in his career.

LOL you know whats funny.....when I brought this same topic up earlier in the season.....most of the people were saying "why would we want to give up a 4th rounder for Brown??", haha.

Philly has Polk, too Brown is expendable and has value on the market. Given Brown was acquired for a 7th rounder, The Eagles would be profiting by now cashing Brown in for a 4th rounder. The Jags have a 4th rounder to spare.

MJD (gone) ...likely way too much for diminishing ability and performance.
Henne (sign) ...decent backup for rookie QB and knows system.
Deaderick (gone) ...showed nothing.
Harbor (sign) ...showed signs of being a good TE with catch ability.
Bradfield (sign) ...perfect swing OT to backup up both spots.
Blackmon (sign) ...older than desired but played well and why create another hole.
Reisner (gone) ...nothing special.
Todman (sign) ...solid kick returner and RB at a position of need.
Ta'ufo'ou (sign) ...decent FB, cheap, and knows system.
Pasztor (sign) ...young cheap ERFA and decent starter at RT with possible upside.
Brown (sign) ...can be a decent 5th WR, a versatile backup on the cheap.
Davis (sign) ...bring to camp to compete, but won't make 53 man roster next season.
Carter (gone) ...late pickup will be fodder at best.

And as soon as you thought he could possibly talk about just football.

You know nothing about football. We all make fun of you and you don't even realize it. Does Brown pass the all important name test?

Measly 4th round pick? I'd rather draft someone.

I don't care. He passes the eye/ football test.

ANd given the Eagles ain't getting rid of McCoy anytime soon and have Polk as another quality backup, Brown will be expendable.

I know more about football than you know about shoes.....and THAT's not easy to do. Laughing

Alas, you don't know opportunity when you see one. Brown is just about as young as anyone else you'd draft with the 4th rounder, yet has already shown big play ability at the NFL level. You'd rather instead use the same 4th rounder on an "unknown"??

Makes sense.

If it "makes sense", than why don't more teams trade away mid round picks for players? I'd rather have an Ace Sanders (with a 4 year deal) than a Bryce Brown (with a 2 year deal).

Brown is the color of poo.

It is also the color of my hair.

I'm torn.
Bryce Brown - Initials BB - B2 - B2 is better known as Riboflavin

Do you want Riboflavin with the ball on 4th and goal from the 1?

All RFAs and ERFAs as well as Blackmon and Harbor since they shouldn't cost too much.

Quote:Measly 4th round pick? I'd rather draft someone.

I love that our team has 10 draft picks, and I'd love even more - but I wouldn't be opposed to trading one of those draft picks for a young talented player like Brown is.  He's like 22 years old and has shown ability to be productive.

We need to look at free agency, the draft, and trades, all means of getting players.
A strong draft and spending some good money can help fix this roster.  QB and Pass Rusher are top priorities.
