Quote:Manziel is all over the place. Some say top 10, others say second round. For all we know he may be a Jaguar.
He is NOT going to be a top 5 pick. No GM/coach is going to put their job on the line to draft an undersized QB with a party animal attitude. You can take this to the bank. And people here need to stop comparing him to Russell Wilson.
Quote:And you probably agreed with him then....
I did. What's your point? You are clearly still taking shots at me for my stance on a player last year. I'm stating how wrong he was about a prediction last year.
My point is that his opinion is fine when you agreed with him, but when you don't agree with him you'll call him out.
Quote:You mean Brotles:
1. <a class="bbc_url" href='http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/teams/hou'>Houston Texans</a> - Blake Brotles QB, UCF
Why they would do it: There is some buzz about the possibility of UCF quarterback Blake Brotles being ranked as the No. 1 quarterback on some teams boards. If there is any team more likely to lean towards a Bill O'Brien coached team, I would be shocked. Brotles beat Penn State 34-31 in their matchup, and B.O.B has seen Brotles at his best. If he believes Brotles can run that offense, then he may lean in that direction in May.
Yeah that's the one, he's got all 3 Qbs going 1,2,3 didn't even notice the Brotles thing I was just scanning it
If Manziel goes first someone will try and jump us for Bridgewater and with the rams being very open to it there could be alot of Disappointed board members
Myself to move up one spot I reckon we would have to give up too much as someone will offer the farm and with the lack of talent on our roster
I don't think.we can afford to give up more than a fourth
Especially with Clowney Barr all still on the board and the overall quality and depth of this draft
Add if bortles or any of the other first round qb prospects drop beyond pick 8 there are only two danger points between him and the playoff pberths where Cleveland will take Indys pick
Pick 11 tacks
Pick 20 cards Carson palmer hasn't been stellar and they have very few pieces of the puzzle missing
Tentatively pick 18 jets but after spending a 2nd on Geno I think they may go wr or tight end and put something round him
All of the playoff teams have their guy ( tentative exception Cincinnati) and have other needs beyond back up qb and I think would be open to trading with us to get more picks
To leap above Cleveland and get say Clowney and bortles in one draft would be unlikely and expensive but it has the potential to turn the franchise on its head
Quote:My point is that his opinion is fine when you agreed with him, but when you don't agree with him you'll call him out.
I'm not even calling him out. I'm saying that a prediction about a qb he made last year was very wrong. It's relevant to to this thread. I'd love for Houston to take Manziel first overall.
@dpbrugler: A lot of people are going to be shocked when QB Blake Bortles goes No. 1 overall to the #Texans...
Someone's gotta be wrong.
Just proves that LaCanfora is an idiot
Here's the deal. All these guys throw out predictions hoping they happen. So in four months they can send an "I TOLD YOU SO" tweet. Bridgewater, Bortles, Manziel. Nobody knows who goes first. They have no inside info in January.

Pretty much and that no one knows a damn thing. Especially 5 months before the draft
Edit- I see we said the same thing.
