Maybe as a late round/UDFA but I wouldn't take him before the 6th round. I doubt he is anything more than a career backup.

Spurrier coached QB's worry me; like, worry me a lot.
Remember when Spurrier was coaching in Washington? It was reported that Spurrier would basically talk to the Quarterback through the entire play clock until the microphone got turned off right before the snap. Basically, the QB is nothing more than Spurrier's puppet in that he does exactly what the coach says and there is not a lot of room for improvisation.
Spurrier has gone on record about how well he thinks of Shaw and how he is so consistent. That being the case, is Shaw going to require a Quarterback Coach to spoon feed him everyday and walk him through every progression and read for every scenario? Is he capable of being autonomous? I'm not stating that he won't be, just that it is a concern of mine. Besides, Spurrier doesn't really have a great track record in developing Quarterbacks.

Quote:I think they will go higher than him, if Shaw even gets drafted , but I think he is better than Murray.
I think Murray is smarter for the game then Shaw. I think Shaw has potential. Just isn't better than Murray in my opinion.

Quote:Yes I would 100% use a 5th rounder on Shaw. I believe he could be one of those guys you can ease into the job like the seahawks did with Wilson. Shaw would be a lot more fun to watch than Henne/gabbertThe Seahawks didn't ease Wilson into the job. He was the starter by the end of training camp.

Yeah I know but they eased him into the nfl well. His stats through the first 10 weeks of the season were not that great. Throwing for under 200 yards in a bunch of those games. Screens, slants... Easy passes, then it starts to open up...

What are his chances of going undrafted as of now?

Pretty good.
He's undersized and doesn't have any elite traits or measurables.

Didn't expect him to run the 40 like that.

0% chance he goes undrafted bud.

Quote:UDFA only. He can play, but the injury bug bites much harder at the next level and he has already been susceptible to injury.
So nobody who gets hurt several times should be drafted? Only an idiot would think that.

Care to explain?

Watching him throw the ball right now he is all over the place. Accuracy just isn't all there.

Quote:0% chance he goes undrafted bud.Jeez, I think he should be a late rounder...but definitely better than 0% chance he goes undrafted too.

I already explained in the thread so how about you explain

If he didn't play for a school in the SEC, this thread would not exist.
