We have three fourth-round picks and are the last 4-12 team to pick in the second round. If another 4-12 team accepts would you trade one of our fourth round picks for a higher second round pick? If we trade with the Browns, that move would give us the #35 pick. Or better yet we could trade with the Redskins, who would love to get any extra picks to make up for not having a first round pick. We can't trade with the Texans because they play in our division but even #34 is much better than #39. I say do it if you can, Caldwell!
How many other trade threads are you gonna make until draft time?

Why do you care? I know nothing about most college football players, but I do know we have a bad pick number in the second round.
#39 isn't a bad pick in the 2nd round.
Also, we do not have 3 4th round picks this year.

Because you can just bump your old threads. if you know nothing about them, you have the internet to educate yourself. 39 isnt a bad pick number btw.

That's right, we have three fifths. But we do have two fourths.
The reason #39 is a bad pick this year is we can't expect players projected to go in the first round to drop that far. We would have more faith in getting such a player at #34.

No I can't because the other one is about trade down in the first round.
Is there a way to put someone's threads on ignore?
...asking for a friend.
If there is a QB people want available in the 2nd it may take more than just a 4th to move up

What if the trade is
not for a quarterback?

In last year's draft alone multiple players projected in the first round fell to pick #39 and even further

Do you mean 2012 or 2013?
That would be awesome, but the last time we had that pick, the whole board thought we were going to miss out on everybody projected to go in the first round. What we got was not first round talent.

I was referring to 2013. And last time we had that pick there was still 1st round talent available, and there will likely be first round talent available at 39 in the 2014 draft as well.

Even if there is, I will still think 35 is better than 39 and it sucks to not be the only 4-12 team.
So what about the third round? There we will have the sixth pick, not much better, and it would be easier to give away third day pick to move up.
