huh? Whats "trolling" about it? Cox in his early seasons here seemed like a very similar player to what we're getting from Gratz so far. Eerily similar. Derek Cox has been one of the worst cornerbacks in football this year, ask a Chargers fan.

Not really. Obviously Gratz is more injury prone since he missed more games than cox his rookie year.
Now, Josh Evans is Reggie Nelson and Ace sanders is mike Thomas. Every player drafted this year is similar to a previous bust.
Gratz is ranked as a top 40 corner according to off fwiw.

Uhh no there isn't. Each team has slot corners. I'm no chemist but I highly doubt each team uses 2 corners. This was out of 110.
Gratz is having a fine season, he's PFF's 37th (out of 110) cornerbacks. He's graded out better than Brandon Browner, 1st round pick Xavier Rhodes, Tramon Williams, Sean Smith, and a bunch of other guys that are playing at a high level. Derek Cox is PFF's 108th (out of 110) cornerbacks, end of discussion.
This topic stinks and it was made for a guy like TMD. Gratz had a solid rookie year and showed some flashes in the pass game and the run game. Hope he is healthy for next year.
Anyone saying Cox > Gratz is just plain dumb, and has clearly not seen Cox get toasted over and over to the point of being benched in SD.

Um, no. Cox regressed badly to the point that he was deactivated, and there was talk of moving him to safety. Gratz, on the other hand, has looked very good when he was on the field. "When he was on the field" is a kiss of death, I know, but if the injuries stop, he has the ability to be better than Cox, imo.

Again, The comparison is not Cox NOW vs Gratz NOW.
The comparison is Cox at the beginning of his career, and Gratz his rookie year.

didn't PFF also rate Cox as something like one of the best CB's in the entire league (when he was on the field), like 2 years ago???
Considering Cox was a 3rd round PLUS a 2nd round pick, getting similar production from Gratz is good.
If we can draft a solid corner that plays for 4 years for a 3rd round pick, Dave is doing his job very well.

Cox was taken in round 3 of the 2009 draft using our 2010 2nd round pick. We did not use two picks on him.
