If Bridgewater falls to #3, I will be screaming joy!!

I don't see how the Texans pass on Bridgewater unless they fall in love with another QB. I just don't see them falling in love with Clowney. But, man. This would be awesome!

I definitely think it is a possibility, I get the feeling their owner is in win-now mode so he may not want a rookie QB.
I'll tell ya what, a lot can happen between now and May.

I think there is a pretty decent possibility the Texans PASS on Teddy with the top pick for a guy like Clowney.  What scares me is if St. Louis (via WAS) has the #2 pick.  They will find a way to trade back with a team that will take Teddy #2.

Just a feeling.

Don't the Texans use a 3-4 scheme? I personally haven't heard if he fits the role of a 3-4 end or OLB. Seems like they would go for Barr over Clowney or am I alone with this thought?
Yeah I agree with Hustler. The quotes from the owner about saying the team isn't rebuilding and he expects contention again next year makes me think they might go the retread coach and vet FA/QB trade route instead of high rookie QB pick.

In that linked Houston-based mock, I would be happy with the Bridgewater selection, should it play out that way at the top. However, scheme fit aside, a combination of Watt and Clowney in Houston would be a lethal combination.
The Rams would definitely trade out of the #2 spot.

I guess they might go the route the Chiefs did. But, I guess last year there wasn't a premium QB.

Maybe the Texans go after Cutler? I wonder if the Rams would trade with us. Or maybe they might even take Bridgewater?

I guess I just don't want to give up hope on us attaining Teddy.

Unless they fix their cap issues and can land cutler, theyll most likely be picking a QB and it will most likely be bridgewater since he is the most pro ready qb in the class.

Not if another team gets the #2 spot. If the Vikings lose out, their final record will be 4-11-1, which is worse than 4-12 - the record the Redskins will have if they upset one of their last two opponents. So while it is very unlikely the Rams will drop to #3, it is certainly possible.

Another possibility is the Rams want to do what the Bengals did with Carson Palmer: draft a quarterback and tell him to spend his rookie year on the benchl. The reason, if they do this, would be not wanting to extend Sam Bradford's contract. However, I would not expect them to give up on Bradford.

The trade down option could be for a team that wants Barr or Clowney. Maybe the Falcons will learn about another team needing a 4-3 defensive end and call the Rams. That said, I think most likely any trading partner with the Rams would be hungry for a quarterback.

4-12 is worse than 4-11-1
I think the texans taking clowney is quite likely, they have a win now mentality and may think with a decent QB like cutler they can do that.

Their defense would be scary with JJ and Clowney lining up together

A tie is not worse than a loss.

My feeling as well......I really hope Washington can win another game.

A team like the Browns who would love to move on from the Weedon era as fast as possible and are sitting with 2 first rounders. THis to me is the most likely trade partner if Washington gets the #2 pick.
I'd still put my money on them taking Bridgewater since he's the top QB, but Clowney makes a lot of sense from a win-now perspective if they could grab a good vet QB (i.e. Cutler).

Knowing the browns they'll give both firsts to trade up and draft manziel!!
I give it a strong possibility they pass over Teddy. They're in a "win now" mindset and a rookie QB doesn't fit that. I'd probably bet on them signing someone like Cutler and drafting Clowney. Watt+Clowney next to each other is flat out scary.
