I bet Manziel comes in at 5'11'' for the combine. 

Orakpo/Mack in free agency, Manziel and Mike Evans in the draft. Would have to trade up to get the other.

Manziel has pictures next to guys like Chris Paul (almost 6'0 without shoes), Jordan Lynch (listed @ 6'0) and he's shorter than both of them. It's safe to say he'll be shorter than 6' at the combine.

The big surprise for me is Bortles. Just a month ago, I never saw him projected as a first rounder. Now in 4 of today's mocks, he's in the top 5. I know very little about him as I haven't watched any of his games.

I dont have anything to back this up by stats or anything but for some reason when i watch him i think Jeff Garcia.  which isnt a bad thing, I actually liked Garcia during his 49er days.

He's been on the first round radar since last year, but no one thought he had a chance to declare until recently. Now that it looks like he is strongly considering (if not leaning toward it) he is getting the national attention he's been getting on a small scale level for over a year now. That's all that's changed really.

Wilson gets few passes batted down....same with Manziel. There are some pretty big defensive linemen in the SEC and I only remember one pass being batted. Henne on the other hand has many and he is 6'3. He is known for longish arms (and big feet). 6'1 or 5'11.....it won't matter. He's fast, has good vision, knows how to disguise his intent with his eyes, can throw passes with speed and touch, has been highly adaptable. If Gus and Dave pick him, I think he'll be a success here. Plus, the offense will be exciting to watch again as it was back in the Brunell days.

This would be very good. I would sub out Boyd for Mettenberger, but I really want us to draft Clowney and Hyde. I salivate at the thought.

if rg3 and tebow have shown us anything is that dual threat qbs are great so long as you can pass it too

rg3 lost a step, not the same guy he was last year.

tebow's arm sucked no longer in the nfl

 

the impression i get of manziel is he would raise the profile of the jags immensely, but i don't think he would raise the win total consistently especially if he took an arrow to the knee so to speak

I'm so excited for this draft. I want Big Time names in the first 3 rounds. No more Alualus, Matt Jones, Bryan Anger kind of draft. Draft us some studs!

I'm not concerned about his height,just pointing out that he's not 6'1.

 

I think he needs to stay at TAMU before he'd be ready for the NFL though. His footwork is inconsistent, which leads to inconsistent accuracy & zip on passes. Too often he'll leave a clean pocket with little to no pressure to scramble around, I've never seen Manziel disguise his intent with his eyes or even go through more than 2 reads before scrambling.

dont really like kiper but he has teddy 10th on his big board lol.
