Good. Save him.

Quote:So if we miss on Clowney and we Draft Mathews, we will have Jockel at left Mathews at right and Lewis at center 2/3rds Texas A&M Oline. :teehee:
Give me Barr or Khalil Mack for the LEO position all day please.

If we draft another OT (we wont in my opinion, not that high at least) and pass on some of the top Defensive Talent that's in this draft towards the top. I just might lose it
I like the way that Cecil has progressed.  He is a true leader.  Get healed up and better than ever next year.

And the 1,000 yard receiver drought continues.

I agree 100% with this call, I'm saddened that he wont get 1k yards but he is our #1 of the future and I don't want him to get hurt in these last few meaningless games, and no I'm not a tanker but once the playoffs are no longer a possibility the games are meaningless.

Shorts better not be the #1 of the future. If that's the case, we've got another hole to fill on this roster because he's not a true #1.

But he is a good WR2. Something the team has not had since Keenan left in 2001.
Quote:Personally I would rather see D Rob back there, but I think we all know why he isn't.

We have Cecil and Blackmon (hes going to be back). Theres no holes to fill at WR.

You're wrong, when we have a real QB you'll see it.

I'm sorry I just don't have that kinda confidence in one Blackmon and two Shorts staying healthy.

I disagree. We have to move forward as if Blackmon isn't going to be here. Next season is a long ways away and he can't even stay clean after being suspended for 4 games. If he shows up next season ready to play, then that only helps us. But we have to move on as if he isn't going to play another down for us.

Just out of interest how do you define number one receiver?

its like the definition of elite and franchise QB it is very subjective and rarely defined

to me a number one receiver is the guy that routinely takes on double teams and beats them

Now shorts isn't that guy right now and I won't argue he may never be.

However he has only been dealing with it for a year and has shown flashes of being able to do it and against top corners too

Of the top corners he has played only Peterson has shut him down

His numbers don't show it but he destroyed Jonathan Joseph, so many pi calls in that game and he still would have had a 50 + rd if hennes had hit him wide open on a deep route

He was quite routinely open against Joe Haden and completely skinned him for the td and even looked good against sherman

Add in the groin and shoulder.issue and I don't really see how you can accurately judge his potential especially when you factor in who has beenThrowing him the ball and the talent surrounding him this year
