^^^ Somebody with some sense, hard to find on here

I would not draft a receiver. Lee, Robinson and Hurns are a solid trio. With a decent quarterback, they will be better next year. Too many other needs, especially offensive line and pass rushers.

Pass rusher, O-Line and RB have to all be top priorities
LOL

the receivers are not the problem.

Are they phoning it in a bit out of the supreme frustration resulting from Bortles ridiculously crap accuracy?  Yes, probably.

But Robinson and Lee would both be on the pro bowl ballot this year if they had a qb with just mid-tier accuracy throwing to them.

Wrs are not the problem. Bortles in the problem
If we get a top 5 pick with no trade backs it needs to be DE, QB or maybe O-line if a Tackle is crazy good.

If we get  a top 5 pick and fine trade back offers into the teens that opens the door for a WR,RB or TE in addition to the above ones in the first but otherwise no way we spend a top 5 pick on a WR.

As far as Robinson goes Detroit, New England , Baltimore , New Orleans , Cincy , Oakland, Indy, Tennessee , Dallas , San Diego , Philly , Pittsburgh , Atlanta , Seattle , Kansas City , and Green Bay all have QBs that would never have ARob below 80 Rec , 1200 yds and 10 TDs in a given season.

I know there are no excuses for drops but the looks he shot bortles coming back to the huddle tells me a lot. He is beyond frustrated with the refs, QB , and likely the playcalling. People say he doesn't get separation but when was the last time Bortles put the ball in position away from a defender? Bortles literally looks towards traffic and seems unable to find the open or favorable matchups.

I know last year Arob put some sick move on defenders and got plenty of separation routinely.

If there was one ranked that high, I would. No AJ greens in this draft tho
I wouldn't draft a WR high, but I would draft one in the middle rounds, if he can serve as a dynamic kick returner. Carlos Henderson of La. Tech is not only a very good WR, but he is also one of the most exciting return men in the NCAA. We lack a return man who can strike fear in opposing teams. If we can get one, no matter what position they play, we shouldn't pass up the chance.

I believe we need don't need to pick in rounds one and maybe two.

We should now be ready to trade those top picks off...

No one worth a top 5 pick this draft.

Not for us anyway
We are going HB in the draft, book it
This team has positions of need with much less talent than WR.  If a WR is at the top of their board and an obvious choice compared to the next guy then sure.

Quote:Robinson has developed butter fingers and can't get seperation, Hurns fell off a cliff, while Lee is a good 2 or 3 receiver. Julius Thomas got fat and slow. Bortles has been bad but there is plenty of blame to go around. Robinsons greasy fingers have had a couple of picks bounce from his hands. Rather they stick with Bortles or go another direction the team lacks a good receiver.

I'm here to make you feel like you started a worthy thread. I hope all the replies made you happy in the jorts my brotha.
I don't think Robinson is a #1. Actually, I don't think any of our receivers are. So if a true #1 receiver is the BAP at #3, by all means take him.

As one very wise man who once gave us great stories and q&a's said..

Wide receivers are a dime a dozen. I want to see our O line fixed and get a RB not named Yeldon splitting carries with Ivory. Then we need to inject some more youth into our defense. Get a younger 1 technique DT and someone to replace/challenge Cyp.

Oh and a new QB please.

We have a lot of needs over WR.

LOL

Yes!  Let's draft a receiver who can reach back 5 yards for underthrown balls, leap to the sky for high wobbly ducks, and go beyond ground level for dirt tosses.

Or, we can engineer an octopus-man with tentacles that will twist, stretch and contort as needed.
Bortles needs to spend the off-season working on his craft instead of downing his favorite craft mug after mug.....

Any WR needs a QB.  Unless we witness a miracle turnaround, Bortles is proving not to be the franchise QB to count on going forward.  There are many needs now in a priority position over WR, namely QB, RB, OL, SS and others.

There's no one worthy of a top five selection coming out this year at this position. And this team is young and in a slump mentally. I think a lot of the drops were just due to being upset or not feeling this year anymore. They all know what's coming in a few weeks. They'll get a chance to regroup and make some noise under new coaching and leadership next year. Robinson will play like he has stickem on his hands next year since it's a contract year.
And as upsetting and frustrating as the drops have been. I still think the biggest issues are Bortles turnovers and issues with accuracy. He has a career completion percentage of 58.4%. 8 of this year's 10 best QB's in completion percentage are either almost a shoe in to be in the play-offs, on the cusp for a 5th or 6th seed this year or already in it.
