The upcoming draft is seen as potential hot crop of potential franchise signal callers.  However, in my opinion this crop seems kind of murky.  While not as siginificant as last year, I also think we will see this draft experience a Brady Quinnesque drop of top Quarterbacks not being taken until later than usual in the first round.  I am sure there will be some great Quarterbacks in the draft, but I think that this crop is hard to put a finger on who will be successful and who will be a bust.  I believe this is due to College Football going more and more away from Pro Style offenses and more towards the Spread Offense.  Without further adieu, I'll go over some potential names that have been floated around as potential high picks for Quarterback.

First we have up Teddy Bridgewater:  I've watched a lot of tape on Teddy and I must say he is the most accurate college quarterback I have seen in a while.  He also has good pocket presence and was able to lead Louisville to a respectable seasons, including a Sugar Bowl win vs Florida, despite not having much talent around him. There are questions about whether his talent will hold up in the NFL as it's a big jump from the AAC to the NFL.  Also, does he have the competitive drive and leadership skills in order to lead his team to victory. He also has a pretty slender frame so durability questions come up.

"Expert" Projected pick top 5:

My Projected pick: top 10 I think he'll slide a little just because of all the talent at the top.  I could realistically see the Jags taking him around 4-6

Next we have Derek Carr:

What can we say about Derek Carr, besides that we feel really bad for his brother for being beaten up by the Texans's swiss cheese offensive line?  Well, we can say a lot about him.  He is similar to his brother in that he is definitely a pocket passer but has just enough mobility to scramble a little to buy some time.  He is accurate, he has a firey passion, and he frequently talks about following in his brother's footsteps and winning what he couldn't.  He puts up great numbers with  4,467 yards, 45 touchdowns and five interceptions this season.  The concerns about him are that he doesn't play well against Blitzing defenses.  Maybe he saw his brother get hit too much?

Expert projected pick top 5

My projected pick 8-14 range:  He could rise a lot higher if Bridgewater decides to stay.
