Jon Gruden talking up Daryl Smith and all the things he's accomplished in Baltimore.  Leads the team in tackles, 17 batted passes, 3.5 sacks, and is the leader of the defense.

~sigh~  Sad

As much as I liked Daryl, which I did an awful lot, Poz is making me forget..

It's too bad he didn't get that love here.

The best indicator for performance is jersey color and logo.

But imagine both of them.

The way Daryl is playing this year coupled with the way Poz is playing would have this defense fired up to the max!

Almost orgasmic.. Almost..

So you forgot they played together? Poz plays in the middle and Daryl played outside in Jacksonville. They were teammates the last two years.
Did anybody else notice Jon Gruden also talked about Eugene Monroe a lot? Great block on Suh, then a whiff, then another good block. He told viewers to watch #60 as ESPN started a replay. I can't tell if he likes Monroe or not. That was probably the first time I actually paid attention to what the left tackle was doing.

For the Lions, C.J. Mosley was penalized for encroachment and both Rashean Mathis and Don Carey had tackles.I don't remember Rashean's hair being that long (down to the middle of his back) in Jacksonville. Unfortunately, he did not get nearly as much camera time as former Texan Glover Quin.

Not really. The first year they played together Poz was still learning the system. The next year Smith was out almost the entire season with a groin injury.
So do you think Eugene Monroe is better, worse, or the same in Baltimore?

Yep, bad move by the team.  Smith was a stud and i'm still head scratching over this one.  Oh well, draft and develop someone outside of Poz.

It looks like a bad move now because less than a week later Luke Joeckel went on IR. Hindsight is 20/20; foresight is not. So we should just be happy with the extra picks from Baltimore.

He meant that not re-signing Smith was a bad move...

Somebody said in another thread Daryl Smith rejected an offer to play for a winning team.
