I know, but you would think he was down much longer. He was already going to the sideline when the PA announcer reported he was "shaken up on the play."

I saw Kyle Williams push Brewster 2 yards into the backfield on more than one running play before he went out. I thought McClendon did ok, and by that I mean I didn't notice him getting completely blown up.

If Brewster is lined up against anybody with a little strength, he gets blown up badly.
When we picked him up as an UDFA and everyone raved about it, I checked out a few of his games and immediately noticed him getting pushed back easily. I'm not talking about Kansas City, I'm talking about University of Kansas backup DTs just absolutely manhandling him.
He has no anchor. McClendon was an upgrade once he came in.

I remember you saying that. Couldn't agree more. I used to have hope that he could possibly develop enough strength to play Center, but I've given up on that having seen him more. He's been in a pro weight room long enough, at this point he just doesn't have the strength and most likely never will.

After he stole the starting job from Eben Britton, a lot of fans wondered why he was not drafted. Apparently he regressed after Will Rackley's return made him a backup again. Regardless, I wish Mike Brewster was able to finish the game because of why he didn't.
I miss the days when our OL looked big and nasty..
As soon as the team was on the third backup Guard, the third and fourth Wide Receiver, the backup RB, both backup Safeties, and the backup QB, I focused on being competitive. And the team was. They played against a terrifying pass rush yesterday and got a Sixth Round RB his first ever 100 yard day.
The team competed, but they simply didn't have enough to overcome their lack of talent. But you know what the greatest thing about it is? You didn't hear any complaints or grumblings. From what I could tell, the players are just focusing on what they have to do next. I like that, I like that a lot.
We walked out of the stadium talking about how good we feel about next year, once we get a little more talent on this roster.
Disgusted? Far from it.

Disgusting? Really?
I saw a young running back break the century mark in his first start.
I saw a bunch of young receivers out there trying to make plays.
I saw our offensive line take another hit and still play okay.
I saw our defense create opportunities despite the fact that we were missing a key contributor in Cyprien, and Geno Hayes suffered a knee injury early on (but kept trying to stay in the game).
I saw a young team that fought to the end, and if it wasn't for a few critical mistakes (and at least one lousy bit of officiating), they had an opportunity to win that game.
I didn't walk out of the stadium feeling disgusted in the least despite the loss.
I can agree some parts of the game were disgusting: Denard Robinson's goal line fumble, inability to score from the one, pass interference that led to a Bills touchdown, and two interceptions by Chad Henne. But to call it a disgusting game is stupid because that would mean it was a blowout loss and everything went wrong. And I certainly can't call Mike Brown's "fumble" disgusting.
We were in it until the very end which is ALOT more than can be said for all of our other loses this season.
I'm disappointed because I'll really thought the guys had a chance....and we did. But many times its a very fine line between winner and loser in NFL football.
Often boils down to just a few plays....this was one of those times.
Digusting? Not hardly.
Just hope we can play out the last two games and sweep the tacks and beat the clots at home and not suffer anymore injuries.
If not no big deal, its time to think about next year and things are looking much better than this time last year. :thumbsup:

You guys showed heart in the game. There is no such thing as moral victories I get that but those mistakes that cost you the game can be corrected and you have the coach to do it. I wish the Giants showed any sort of heart in their game against Seattle.

Remember the Seahawks are #1 in the NFC, so the Giants could have a lot of heart and still get blown out.
