During scouting would you be more inclined to look deeper into players to draft for their stats or intangibles (big game performace, awareness, ect)?

Traits, because stats can be misleading.

For example when evaluating QB's, scouts are looking at things such as eye level, accuracy, poise (in a muddied pocket), pocket movement, accuracy, football intelligence etc.. You always want to see production, but more importantly you want to identify traits that will translate to the next level, and if a college QB has these traits, the production will usually be there,

Yup. All that needs to be said
Scouts do scouting.
If you're looking at stats while scouting a prospect, you probably shouldn't be holding a job in an NFL front office.

I'd ask Gene Smith what he'd do, then do the opposite.

I'd evaluate gameday performances for instict then use the Combine mearsurables for potential.

Hey, why is our offense full of Boise State and the University of Houston players ?  :woot:
For linemen, you look at wrists and ankles. Skinny wrists and skinny ankles are bad traits for linemen.

The head coach does a little scouting too. Remember this year Gus Bradley talked to Geno Smith?

To answer the question, I would look at everything except the stat sheet.

You'd be an awesome scout.
The OP forgot to ask about medical history and police reports.

We learned the hard way one DUI is a red flag, even if the charged is reduced to underage drinking.

Although he was not a Jaguar, concerns about Beanie Wells getting hurt a lot turned out to be accurate.
