Quote:As bad as EJ is hes still better than Henne. They have better RBs in Spiller and Jackson. WRs are a wash. Offensive lines are a wash.

They have 3 Pro Bowl players on their D line, a freak LB in Kiko Alanso, a Pro Bowl saftey in Byrd, and a very good CB in Gilmore.

People need to get their head checked if they think we have more talent than the Bills. They often find ways to beat themselves though so if Henne doesnt turn the ball over we may have a chance. Were due for a bad game from him though.

I think people who say we are better than Buffalo are just thinking about our three-game winning streak. After watching the Bills give the Chiefs a hard time, I know better.

I'm no Henne defender. But I have not seen anything from Manual that makes me thinks he is better. As an FSU fan, I am still surprised he was a mid-first rounder.
Quote:CBS stupidly showed Pittsburgh at Miami instead of Buffalo at Tampa Bay in Gainesville (shouldn't they show the closest team?) so I don't know what the Bills are like right now. A blowout loss to a bad team is like us, so judging by the final score, I would say yes.

I believe the Tampa game was blacked out and that's why we got the Miami game.

Talent isn't everything, How much "talent" does Houston have? Right. Coaching and attitude of the players have a lot to do with it.

If that game was played four weeks ago, that would make sense. But Tampa Bay is looking better and winning games now, so I thought they could sell out this one.

We are talking about two teams with rookie head coaches. They are learning on the job. When that happens, they usually have losing records. That did not happen to the Harbaughs because of their rosters.

If it's an out of market game, it has to do with ratings. What CBS thinks is going to draw more viewers. In Northwest Florida I rarely get to see the game I want to watch. Pitt @ Miami are two teams still fighting to be in the playoffs with high rated teams and more drama (Tomlin, Big Ben, the Martin/Incognito story etc). The Bills and Bucs are not playoff contenders with no real juicy storylines.

I mean honestly, do you think the majority of home viewers want to watch a couple 6-7 type teams with chances of playoffs or a couple of 3 win teams people rarely remember are in the league?

I don't get to watch the Jags in Pensacola unless I go to a bar with the ticket or if the Jags are winning, like back in 07.

What's stupid about showing a game with playoff implications instead of a game with none?

Defense or not, throw four picks and you're losing.
I went back and watched EJ Manuel's game last week against the Tampa Bay Bucs and I was not impressed at all by Manuel, obviously. First off, his does not help him at all as it seemed almost on every snap he was getting pressured. All but one of his interceptions were horrible decisions and a display off horrendous accuracy which he has had problems with his whole playing career. The only reason I would say he is better than Henne is because he can escape pressure with his legs whenever he wants and that is more difficult to prepare for, but then again Henne looked like Mike Vick last thursday night. And I hope since Tampa's D-line (ranked 29th in sacks) got pressure on Manuel I think the Jags defense can pressure him into making bad decisions and inaccurate throws like he did in week 14

Quote:They will still beat us though because we are even worse at the moment.

Actually both teams are 4-9 but where I differ from the above comment is that we The Jaguars has had success since our by-week. The Bills has dropped how many games straight?

NH3...

Tampa is only 2 hours southwest of Gainesville and Miami is 7 hours southeast of Gainesville. So wouldn't there be more Buccaneers than Dolphins fans in the Gainesville TV market?
Quote:Bills are one of the most perplexing teams in the league. Their defense has looked incredible at times resembling a playoff contender, then they just melt away. They remind me of the Jets, capable of looking really good then stinking up the joint.

It almost makes you wonder if the games are rigged?  I mean how do the Jets go from looking so strong on Defense to stinking so fast?

What I noticed this year is what happens in September does not tell you who really sucks. We thought the AFC North and NFC East have only one good team (Cincinnati and Dallas), the Panthers would never catch up with the Saints, the Jets are playoff contenders, the Steelers and Giants will never be in the playoff races, and the draft's first pick will definitely belong to a Florida team. Look at what has happened since then.

Our Defense is going to have to worry about the two headed monster (Running Backs) Listening to Paul Puz, he said in Inside the Jaguars interview that they are going to have their hands full and I believe that they will. I hope to win but since we are both 4-9 it's a toss up without MJD being in there as probable/questionable. I don't see MJD playing...

Thats a very simplistic way of looking at it.

Good point and in addition to that Buffalo is an up tempo team. During our last victory vs Houston there was a noticeable difference when Shaub came in and jammed the no huddle down our throats. Defense had a big problem with that before admirably holding on to secure victory.

So does that mean we can expect the Bills to go no-huddle?

Absolutely.

Most, not all desenses do have trouble with this cause they get winded having to hurry to the line for the next play and if it continues, that is when you see guys with hands on their hips!
