I thought about this after watching the Bears blow out the Cowboys on MNF: Jacksonville scored the first touchdown to start the NFL record number of touchdowns in one week. That is a pretty neat fact to know. I don't know the exact number, but it is over 100.

What? Nobody else is interested? I thought somebody would reply!

I can't speak for anyone else, but I don't understand what you're saying.

More touchdowns were scored last weekend than any other week in NFL history. That would be true even if you take away the fake touchdown in Cincy.
I guess you're right.  Nobody else is interested.

Heck, I'm just surprised the Jags scored a touchdown.

Remember back in September when people thought that it would be an accomplishment if we could advance past mid-field? What a difference 3 months make.

Remember when Bobby Boucher showed up at halftime and the Mud Dogs won the Bourbon Bowl?

That is why I thought it was neat to know the Jaguars scored the first touchdown in Week 14, not the Texans.

Unfortunately, I can't remember the play.

1 yard fade to Marcedes.

That was awesome.

I do remember. That's why every TD scored by this team is a pleasant surprise.

The most surprising one of all certainly was on defense, however.

I think it had to do with a number of factors such as; easier schedule to teams with less interest in winning, Blaine Gabbert being benched with no fear of returning as the starter, a great performance at RT, Chad Henne realizing he needs to perform in order to keep a job anywhere in the NFL and basically that from the rest of the team after only one win at mid season they realized it was an audition to keep their jobs for next season.  I'm excited about the wins but I'm not letting it get to my head they havent beaten a difficult team only colts at the end would be a test & they very well might rest the starters due to winning the afc south.

I think it's really only this one and some small portion is the team "getting" the whole Bradley Doctrine and gelling together. For all the talk of parity in the NFL there's still a big gap between Seattle, SF, NE, Denver, and New Orleans and teams like the Jags and Texans. Getting to play teams that are more on the Jags' level is why they are competitive now.

Sounds like a stat the franchise would exploit to keep us fans from focusing on yet another losing season.

I was just thinking it feels good to know that after spending 13 weeks watching the Jaguars struggle to score touchdowns, often stopping themselves at the goal lime. we finally were the first team to go in the end zone.

Thank you thank you!
