I think it would be a good hire for Boise St. Koetter was 26-10 there as head coach from 1998-2000.
In a related topic I really like Chris Petersen going to Washington, I think he will do a good job there.

As a UW fan, I love this hire and should probably thank Sark he goes back "home". Sark is not bad and he helped to turn 0-12 program over, but don't think he will ever be more than a 7-5 or 8-4 coach (I believe with better coaching we could beat Stanford and maybe even UCLA this year). I hope coach Pete will keep Justin Wilcox and Tosh Lupoi on his staff, although Wilcox has been linked to Boise State HC job now, along with going to U$C with Sark obviously.
Notice how Boise St fell off the face of the earth once the NCAA started investigating thier program? Peterson was paying the players to come from LA to Idaho. I don't expect much because Peterson is still "on watch".

What are you talking about?
The infractions that they have found were not that serious. They are forced to compete against huge schools like USC for recruits. What do you want them to do? be squeeky clean?

California has a different respect for high school football, like Pennsylvania and Texas. Any program that pays interest to California there is going to get a fair share of talented football players even though the Pac-12 always gets the lion's share of prime talent.
Quote:Boise State hired Arkansas State HC Bryan Harsin as their new HC.. He's a former Assistant Coach with the BSU Broncos:

I think its a good hire for the school. He's been their knows the program and obviously really wanted to be there. He said he left Boise to be a better head coach with plans on someday being able to come back home to Boise as a HC.

Well said.
I'm anticipating Boise State to have many more double digit winning seasons in the next decade.
yay. For a 4th strait year our coach goes gets hired away.

That sucks. It's a tough situation for Arkansas State, obviously the team has enough talent to win games which leads to the coaches being hired away. What can be done to stop it? Only thing I can think of is hiring a virtual unknown coach who will be there at least a couple of years before he leaves due to his success. This of course can be a bad thing if the guy is a failure.
The schools in a tough spot.
Koetter is and always has been a joke.
It's obvious that Caldwell was the reason for success in Atalanta. Right?
