Every team is just playing for pride now except FSU and Auburn.
Lol yeah, FSU and auburn are no way playing for any pride in the NCG..................

Quote:Jaxjags I hope for your sake you're just being sarcastic and actually do have reading comprehension with what JW said.
Quote:CST and Big John, get ready for your avatar bet. It is officially OSU and Clemson in the Orange Bowl.
Quote:He has yet to accept
Quote:LOL yeah, FSU and Auburn are no way playing for any pride in the NCG.
Quote:Sorry. Forgot all about it with it being finals week. I'll do it.
Quote:I hope you understand what I meant was FSU and Auburn have something else to play for, while all other teams going to bowls are only playing for pride.
I suck at reading sarcasm.
Quote:Do you all like UCF going to the Fiesta Bowl? I don't. Baylor is going to kill them.
Quote:I like UCF over Baylor. Baylor's offense was dominated by OSU, who is ranked 14th in points against. Guess who is ranked 13th?
People forget that Baylor's defense is garbage. UCF's balanced offense is not to be ignored. Legitimate receiving threats in Perriman and Worton. A high profile QB in Bortles. Two quality RBs.
I say the game will be a shootout, but UCF certainly has the better defense of the two and makes the most of opportunities. And they play up to their competition. See 3 point loss to SCar. Baylor was dominated by OSU.
Quote:And Baylor was at OSU. Would the result be similar in Waco, Texas?I fail to see how a 32 point loss away would change into a win if they were at home. If Bortles had not thrown an interception on one of UCF's last drives, we'd be talking about undefeated UCF. Baylor can hardly say that they are one play away from that.
It also is worth noting the Cowboys were #10 that week and playing for the Big 12 title in their loss to Oklahoma.

Quote:You aren't alone, especially when it's not that obvious to begin with... Some people don't have a way with words.

SCar was ranked number 12 when UCF lost to them. They were one Missouri loss away from the SEC championship game.
UCF has 1 win vs top 10 teams. So does Baylor.
Quote:They are also playing for more than pride. Also playing for money and school recognition.
Quote:I did not say Baylor would have won at home. I was just wondering if the point differential would have been much less than 32.
Chances are most board members would point to UCF's schedule like they did for Ohio State. The Big 12 is better than the AAC.
Quote:Sure. I hate judging teams based on their schedule in conference. Baylor scheduled 4 cupcakes for OOC. UCF played Penn State and SCar. Everything else was out of their control. Who can predict how well teams on the schedule will play? Same as Ohio State and the down year for the B1G.
Quote:Which is exactly why I don't understand FSU fans hating on OSU for playing a "cupcake" schedule. A win is a win is a win. But that does not mean I would rather see NIU or Fresno State in the NCG or something like that.
