Well now that Teddy probably isn't going to happen. These are two possibilities for us at QB. Which one would you love to be the face of our franchise?

+1
David Fales need to be in the discussion, he beat Derek Carr and you dont need a first round pick to get him.

Carr may be gone by our pick.  No thanks to Johnny Football.  Still have concerns about AJ McCarron, but if he could be had in the 2nd... then that might be better than most of the options we seem to have.

Hopefully Caldwell will figure it out.  Wherever we draft.

I think so too, but its funny that you picked his worst two games of the season to show the tape from! HAHA!

Looks like hall of fame archival footage to me.

Teddy, Carr, Bortles (please declare) or bust

I would be happy with either QB. Caldwell.....you pick. (-:
I don't understand why people hate on Johnny Manziel. There are reports some people do not like his personality. So what? Is he like Terrell Owens between the ears? Are NFL scouts saying they do not want his brain in the locker room or just the fans of teams that need quarterbacks?

I am not saying I like Manziel. I don't have an opinion about him because I only watched one TAMU game in the last two seasons: the SEC opener against Florida last year. I just want to know why lots of people don't like him.

I also know absolutely nothing about Derek Carr.

all of the qbs going back to school are going to raise manziel's carr's stock. maybe therefore creating enough value to take manziel wherever the jaguars pick. i think manziel has maturity issues and i dont like how smug he is, but there is no denying that he is an electric player.

IF caldwell and company believe that they can trust him to not get in trouble. and he packs on a few lbs, i dont see anyone besides bridgewater and jake matthews as being worth it in the top 5.

Manziel would definitely be able to run a similar offense to what they do in Seattle. I could live with Manziel being the pick but it would be one that I would be uneasy about until he proves he can do it. Big Boom or Bust pick in my opinion.

Teddy, Carr, Bortles, or Fales.  These 4 have the best deep balls and best arms of the guys this year.  Give me one of those four.  Fales proved that he can hang with guys like Carr while working with substandard receivers and Oline.  Imagine what he could do with an NFL Oline and good WR's.

I think LSU and Mizzou exposed Manziel's weaknesses.  Force him to stay in the pocket.  He is too erratic as a pocket passer.  When he doesnt have the ability to run for first downs or to extend plays with his feet waiting for guys to come open then he really struggles.  I have a feeling NFL defenses would only exacerbate his struggles.

I was really excited about Fales before the season started.  But I was turned off after seeing him struggle against some teams when his lack of arm strength let him down.

I think its a real possibility ATL ends up with the first pick and we trade up with them from #3. My Teddy dreams have not yet died.

Hopefully Dimitroff gives his buddy a discount if that happens.
I am not as high on Carr as most. I say Bortles (if he declares) has to be our guy. If he doesn't declare, we get Manziel or wait till the 2nd for McCarron/Boyd and try to make a move for Clowney in the 1st.

Manziel just isn't a pocket passer. You need a pocket passer to succeed in this league.  He also lacks maturity.

Carr has some footwork issues that are a concern.  I personally worry that his floor is David Carr.
Bortles GF is smokin hot
