The Texans are almost guaranteed to clinch the top pick with their last three opponents being the Colts, Broncos, and Titans and Case Keenum being named the starter for all three games. They have no reason to trade down from that spot because Teddy Bridgewater would fill their biggest need. So regardless of what every other losing team does, I will be totally shocked if the Texans do not pick first and draft Teddy.
You all know what that means for the Jaguars: figure out who else can play quarterback as well as Bridgewater. Obviously the Vikings will be doing that too so we may be forced to leapfrog them to get our guy. If at all possible, I would rather not trade up, but the Texans and Vikings are making me worry that might be necessary because of their quarterback situations. Are there any quarterbacks worth trading up for if we do miss out on Bridgewater as expected?
Yes, there are quarterbacks worth trading up for. But what are you giving up? A 4th or 5th is nothing. But if you're talking about RGIII bounty, I don't know about that. The only QB I can see a team falling in love with and giving up a ridiculous mount of picks in Manziel. But as much as I like Manziel, even I'm not advocating anything like that. But to be honest, I'd much rather Texans grab Bridgewater than Manziel. I like both, but Bridgewater is more of a known quantity. Just like how I think we can handle Andrew Luck in our division. We can handle Bridgewater. Manziel is just too much of a wildcard. Like many believe (not me though), he very well may not translate well to the NFL. But on the flipside, he could end up being as dominant a player as we've seen. My personal belief is he's going to get better at all the things people criticize him for once he gets into the NFL, but yet still have his ridiculous instinctual game as well. He could single-handedly make winning the division a complete nightmare.

I honestly feel like the Texans could sign a veteran QB in FA too, but then again Teddy Bridgewater would be hard to pass up on. What I am saying is I hope they would sign Jay Cutler in the offseason, however I do not think they can afford him and I hate Cutler and it is also wishful thinking.

A Texans guy was on 1010 yesterday talking about their cap situation. Wasn't paying that close attention. But it's sounding like they might have some cap issues.

Be careful what you wish for. Jay Cutler can make a bad defense look even worse, so I hope the Texans
don't sign him.

The Texans are in a bad situation with their salary cap, so it would make a lot more sense financially for them to draft Teddy Bridgewater.
I thought we were very lucky the Buccaneers were happy with only a fourth round pick to trade down two spots. Now we are talking about top five picks so chances are we can't do it without losing our second round pick. Is Johnny Manziel worth that?
Derek Carr over Manziel without a doubt. If we get Manziel, convert him to wr and get Winston next year

It's funny. This whole time I was assuming we'd have the first pick and that picking Manziel at that spot would be the extreme bold move. I never even thought about trading up into the top 5 to pick him. But, to answer your question, if you ask most other members of this board, the answer would definitely be a NO. But we'll have a (slightly) better idea around draft time.

I'm planning on watching a bunch of Carr in the near future. My first impression is he makes things look so easy when he plays. Sometimes things look easy because they are, but nevertheless i'm impressed with him from the very little I've seen.

Which school is Derek Carr at? I know nothing about him.
Johnny Manziel is criticized for being too short to play quarterback. Wide receivers should be taller than quarterbacks. So why should Manziel be a WR?
Quarterbacks worth trading up for? None

Not even for a fourth round pick like we gave for Justin Blackmon? I know that is not realistic, but right now all we can do is hope there is a franchise quarterback sitting at our pick number.
You only trade up for one guy. So JAX better trade up to #1 overall because that's where he's going.

No way is Johnny Manziel going to be the #1 pick. We just need to leapfrog another team that needs a quarterback, not move up to #1, if we want him.

Even if you know no quarterbacks will be available by the time you pick?

Google.

If you know the reason, you can just tell me and save me a lot of time web searching.
The only Qbs in the last couple drafts I would trade up for are
1. Cameron Jerell Newton
2. Andrew Austen Luck

You need to change your username. If you think we are talking about past #1 picks, you are most definitely
not a wise man.
