Go back to 2009. I am sure you can find articles saying the 2010 draft will be stacked after Bradford, McCoy and Tebow announced they were all returning to school.

I trust Caldwell will make right decision, I am a teddy supporter but I'll be happy we draft a QB. And I actually think it's a good year for QB. Teddy, Manziel, mettenberger and Carr I like. Don't be afraid to draft QB, almost always is a risk. Luck was a once in a lifetime prospect.
Quote:Bridgewater is hardly a guarantee of anything and certainly doesn't have half the assuredness that Luck or even RGIII had coming out.  I say we draft two quarterbacks in the 2-4 including McCarron and just roll with Henne to start the season if he continues to play adequately.

I would certainly place Bridgewater over RGIII as a pro prospect, but you're not to be taken seriously with that point on Henne, anyway.

My god what is wrong with some of you? Just dumb, dumb ,dumb.

Henne hasn't started playing adequately though...

Just to add to the rest of the uproar... Henne is bad and you should feel bad for saying that he is anything but it.
People say "Wait for Winston".

Personally, I hope we're out of range for Winston.... whenever he comes out.  There's certainly no guarantee he even comes out next year.  And hes' not a guarantee either.

I hope we don't draft Manziel.  I don't think he's going to make it in the NFL.  Caldwell may feel differently, of course.  And if he does, I certainly hope that he's right.  I'll be rooting for Manziel if he becomes a Jag just like I did with Gabbert.  But I will disagree with the choice.

Some people will pick apart Winston under the microscope next year and then convince themselves of waiting for Hackenberg just like they were doing with Bridgewater. It's what always happens to the top guys if you're not an Andrew Luck.
So let me get this straight. You state something as fact and it's up to me to go back and look it up. Interesting. I should start making crap up too and challenge you to find it.
Left off Jeff Mathews QB from Cornell.  Day 2-3 guy and maybe UDFA if he drops that far down.  Dude has a canon arm and perfect stance and throwing motion.  But didn't win much in the Ivy league.  Doesn't fear getting hit but tends to go a little bat-crap crazy when he knows it's comin.

I'd add Jeff Matthews, Brett Smith, Bryce Petty and Connor Shaw to the list.
Petty is returning for his senior year.

Is Smith entering the draft?

I forgot about Matthews. I remember diggy did a mock draft about a month ago and has him going in the 1st round. Lol

It's not "up to you" to do anything, guy. I'm curious as to why this is so contentious for you. It's pretty strange. Is it that unbelievable?

There's a feeler I got from googling his name. Whoopee.

Honestly, at this point it would not surprise me if he was taken in the first two rounds.  When you watch him play he will have a play that makes you go "Holy Crap", then he'll have a play where you go "well then... ok".
Murray or Mettenberger's injuries may work out great for us.  I say we go Carr/Brigewater in round one, then Murray or Mettenberger with a 4th if they're there.  Hasta Luego, Gabne.

He's going to need time to learn on the bench. It may be a while before he's NFL ready. I can't see him going any higher than 3rd round. He'll benefit greatly if he follows a career path of Ryan Mallet.

i hope bortles stay then

I added Matthews, Smith, and Shaw. I can't see Shaw going as highly as people think he could because he is the definition of a game manager. Smith has not declared yet, but I think another year would do him some good.

Don't we all? If UCF wins a BCS bowl this year, he is the best QB in school history. If he stays for another year, he will break all of Culpepper's records.

How can you write that and not think "Well crap, it's Blaine Gabbert all over again." If you want to see how he would look against a good defense, watch the game against Princeton. He is not worth an early draft pick.
