Henne played horrible overall, but good on the final drive. Cecil had a couple easy drops, but made 1 great play. MJD has no room to run but he did OK. Our CBs were toasted by Gordon all day. Again, Brandon Weedens turnovers were bad plays by him.
Ace and Marks are the only standouts IMO. And we also limited the run a bit. Those are the only positive performances OVERALL from this game. Sorry you dont agree with it but it doesnt mean its trolling.
There was nothing wrong with Weedens pass that Cyprein picked off, it was actually a laser, Cyprein just made the read and got the jump on the route.
The Strip and Fumble recovery was all Babin, he made the play that wasn't Weeden holding onto the ball it was Babin making the play. No ones arguing Henne played bad, but he played well enough to drive them down field twice and make the game winning pass. Cecil made more then 1 play, he kept the drive going by getting a 1st down on 3rd and long.
It doesn't take a player to have a good GAME to say the team earned a win, you can't tell me they didn't outplay the Browns today.

I was looking at the standings and can't find the column where they indicate whether we won the game or were given the game. Could you point that out to me?

Apparently we did.
After all, WE didn't throw two interceptions, and WE didn't snap the ball over the QB's head, resulting in a safety, and WE didn't allow the game winning 9 play 80 yard drive with 3 minutes left on the clock. THEY did.
So the answer is, YES, we did outplay them.
So just to be clear, is it ever possible to lose but outplay your opponent?
I voted 2 more wins but 3 wouldn't surprise me. The combined record of the last 4 teams we play is a paltry 19-29. With 3 of 4 at home, I see 2 wins. I believe we will play better at home after gaining the experience and momentum on the road.
We had to take advantage the other teams mistakes. after all that's what usually wins games.
It takes turnovers and controlling the ball.

I just dont see us winning more than 5 games when we lost 8 straight to start the year..... anymore than 4 wins woiuld be a blessing.

Way to not answer the question. Without Weedens 3 turnovers in 2 minutes we lose. 1 came on an overthrow, 1 on a horrible pass, and 1 was a decent pass rush but he should have had the awareness not to lose the ball with 10 seconds left.
When the Jags actually move the ball and stop people on defense I acknowledge it.

Either way, we are a team in the first year of a rebuild, with Chad Henne at QB, who is just about as good as Weeden. What were you expecting?

Im expecting us to suck. But im not going to call a performance with Chad Henne throwing for under 200 yards on 40 attempts "good" just because we win.
I guarantee if we didnt go 80 yards on the final drive people would be in uproar.
Ive never said the last drive wasnt good. Chad executed well there. But the defense played rather poorly minus the run defense at times, and the offense was horrible except for the last drive. If anyone wants to refute those points go ahead.
