ESPN publishes it's "expert" ranking of Heisman candidates. With Manziel and Mariota stumbling this past weekend, Williams up to second in the polling? He is only now behind Winston.

I still it is unlikely but he has been on an absolute roll. Probably the most impressive thing with Williams was in September when they played FSU. It is by far the closest game that the Seminoles have had and Williams ran for 150 yards on that defense.

I don't know. It just seems like the Heisman nowadays has become the "Best Quarterback in the Country" Award. There has been one non-QB to win the award since 2000 and that was Mark Ingram.

I'm not saying that Brown Williams isn't worthy of it, it's just that the voting seems to be very, very skewed towards the QB position.

I wouldn't mind picking this guy up in the second or third round. He's been carving up ACC defenses with very little talent around him.

Who's Brown?

Have you been drinking with fat guys?
I think he definitely could.  For three reasons.  First, this is a pretty lousy year for the Heisman so if there could ever be someone to sneak up out of nowhere to win it, this could be one of those years.  Second, its Winston's to lose but a lot of voters could be scared off by the rape charges.  Last thing they want is to give a guy the Heisman only to find out shortly thereafter he is a rapist.  And third, Williams is the only guy in the northeast who is a legitimate threat to win it.  While down South, Winston is a candidate, McCarron is,  Manziel still is, etc...  They may split the votes among people down here, while Williams could potentially get almost all the votes up north.

I don't think so only because he doesn't play for a good team.

D'oh!

Sadly, I don't even have the "I've been drinking since 10:00" excuse to use.

But... I will have the "I've been drinking since 2:00 since the boss let us out early from work today excuse"!

And about to get more dummer.
If it was 15 years ago, he'd probably be the favorite. Running backs are almost second class citizens now.
