LONDON — Behind in the opinion polls, Scottish Nationalists who are seeking independence from Britain in a referendum next year set out their wish list for a new nation on Tuesday, but made several assertions about their future relations with Britain and international partners that are sharply disputed.

A newly independent Scotland would issue passports, create its own defense force and expel British nuclear submarines from their Scottish bases,

UHHHHH, NO!

And while Scots would claim 90 percent of the revenue from North Sea oil and gas and adopt a written Constitution, they would keep Queen Elizabeth II as head of state and retain the pound sterling as their currency, the document adds.
FREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEDOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMMMMMM!

It would be interesting if it did happen, but it's just not gonna happen for the Scots. Also did you know that William Wallace and all the other Scotsmen didn't wear any kilts during the Wars of Scottish Independence? That's because kilts didn't actually appear until the 16th Century. The Wars of Scottish Independence occurred during the 13th and 14th Centuries.

And now you know...

Technically, not all parts of the Island are under Republican control. Northern Ireland (Ulster as some people there call it.), is still under British control.
