Quote:I watch the games and he sucks

If you watch the games you see other players are not helping him. Drops by receivers, offensive line not run blocking, etc. You also would see the other team's defense simply outplaying our offense when we aren't bad.

Quote:You don't need to Google stats. They mean nothing if you don't watch the games. And Bortles does not suck.

Nobody is denying the offensive line's inabilities. Their inability is RUN blocking.

Um, Bottles does suck. He's not even giving us below average QB play at this point. He's partly to blame for the run game being so bad because defenses don't fear our passing offense.

If you watch the games you would see that he throws wobbly ducks, throws behind players, throws over players, throws it off the feet of players and just plain sucks.

Look up passing statistics for all 32 starting QBs before you/ call him worse than below average. I guarantee you will find some much worse than him.
Quote:Dude is so Bad. Romo would get us to the playoffs instantly.

No. He's more of the same
Quote:In all seriousness, I've never seen a QB have an unluckier year with throws off receiver's hands that end up as INT's, bad calls or no calls, other areas of the team (mainly ST's) folding up at least once a game, and a D that, while good, cannot force a turnover.  Not to mention simply terrible coaching.

There are teams that have years like this, but not usually this bad.

The Lions had these types of years, but with far less talent.

The are really only so many "unlucky" passes you can claim. I hate when the term "unlucky" is used in sports, Bortles makes bad passes that are always seemingly too Low, too high, Too tar ahead, too something. The INT off the back of Yeldon's heel was a bad throw, you are supposed to hit the dirt if you are giving up on a play. That's not bad luck, it's bad accuracy and a lazy effort and it's only so excusable in the great body of work for any player.
Quote:He had time today. One day. Friggin great.
He's had solid time any time we aren't in garbage time mode. When the game is still in doubt and the threat of the run exists, the oline has been ok. Not great, but not the problem. The eye test and the stats back that up.
Quote:Tony Romo has reportedly expressed interest in joining the Broncos, who obviously could use him right away. I also read NFL news from around the league including some things the Cowboys are doing.
Really? He has? During the season, employed by the Cowboys, Romo has expressed interest in joining the Broncos.

Besides the fact that you're clueless, why would he do that?

You consistently make ludicrous statements on this board but this one is top five.

That one was following a bad coach's instructions according to Bortles himself. He was told to throw at Yeldon's feet in that situation.

I don't use the word unlucky, but it is appropriate more often than you think. A good example of this is Allen Robinson falling on slippery turf in the end zone at Chicago. Perfect pass that would have been caught easily on any other field.

Real jaguar fans are clueless. Everyone knows this

Real Jaguars fans are not clueless. They actually know what the Jaguars do every single week because they care deeply about the team.

Anyone who thinks Tony Romo might have remote interest in joining the Jaguars is clueless about him and the Cowboys, however.

Real Jaguars fans don't band-wagon onto 2 front running teams. Just saying...

Before you start calling out the fanhood of other posters, you should look in the mirror.

I don't bandwagon two other teams. I started rooting for the Packers and Broncos before I knew Jacksonville had a team.

Every fan thinks their team has bad luck but there is seriously some kind of omen on this team. I havent seem so many missed big plays and inopportune turnovers in my 15 years of football. We change 5 plays this season and we could be 7-5.
I quit

It's the two tone helmets, man. They anger the football gods.

Oh and Gus Bradley.

I still like the lowrider glitter helmets.
"What can the Jaguars do with Bortles? His mechanics have become so bad, he’ll need a complete overhaul just to be competent."

Pretty much how I feel. Suprised a media pundit gets something right. He's basically become unfixable.
