Quote:For me...it's hard to remain objective and see the positive things...

There ARE POSITIVE THINGS.

I just really wanna see our offense play well enough to help us win games and NOT be the constant reason we loose.

Sometimes it's a combination of things.

Individual play

Coaching

Bad luck

Bad officiating

Undisciplined behavior

ECT ECT..

Or any imaginable combination of the above.

( I'm sure there are points I missed).

For me...what makes it more frustrating than just loosing...

Started when we drafted bb5 and continued up to preseason game #3.

They hype and expectations....

We are the worst underperforming NFL team ever.....

Words can't describe my frustration....

And when someone does write this story on the jags failure out and describe it well...

I am so sick I can't even appreciate their achievement
Absolutely bizarre arrangement of text. What the hell dude?
Quote:Didn't read thread but wonder. Is this seven pages of people saying they don't care? Sounds eerily close to caring does it not?

Figuratively speaking, of course (which is the point.)

I doubt the OP started the thread expecting people to post pics of burning their gear, cancelled season tickets, or smashing their televisions.  That, too would show caring but at the opposite end of the spectrum.

They hung around long enough to win, looked better than they have in some ways... but the pick 6 killed the effort again.
NUMB
I dont even fight it no more. Im just numb at this point. Just lay and take it. All feeling is gone
Quote:Real Jaguars fans don't say stuff like that.

You know it's bad with your QB makes the front page of Yahoo.com news and not for a good reason

https://www.yahoo.com/sports/news/what-c...08383.html

I watch all the games every min from start to finish, just like Ive been doing since 1995, i'm not gonna only watch when we are a good team, if your not watching the games, plz dont come on here posting about who is good and who is not by stat watching, thats all i'm saying.

Watching the team while its bad, makes it feel so much better when we start winning, i'm not a far weather fan.

I think you spelled this wrong.

WHAT !!!

Bortles is like our version of that Anthony Wiener guy -- on the front page of yahoo for all the wrong reasons.

Care about the team? Sure I do.

Care about winning? Sure, I hate losing.

Care about losing? Not so much... pretty apathetic to it at this point in the season.

But you know who does Care?

I care for our future. I don't care about this season anymore. I won't really start to care until we change our coaching staff, possibly GM, and get to draft night.

Quote:Honest question. It feels like the team is just going thru the motions at this point. They know the inevitable is approaching, as do we, so does anyone bother going thru their usual Sunday afternoon fandom?

I still watch them. I can't help myself. There's just too many unknowns at the moment. We know Bradley is out. But what is Khan going to do with Caldwell? Because that's a tricky piece to the puzzle of this team's future at the moment. If the Jaguars finish 2 - 14 do we honestly think we can trust Caldwell with yet another top three draft selection to use? So far he's been 1 out of 4. Joeckel is a miss. Bortles is a miss. Fowler Jr. all excuses you can think of, which I am tired of hearing about as well, right now he's another miss. Ramsey is the only hit he's had in four years. And it's taken him until now to get it done. I just feel bad for our fan base and team man. I actually think Hackett and Wash are showing they're plenty capable of calling and managing our offense and defense. And, more than likely they'll be out of here next year. Bradley just made these coaching decisions too little, too late.

It's like slowing down to see if you can see any burning bodies in the massive car crash on the side of the road....

amirite?
Heck yeah I watch, have since we've had a team.....and hope, pray and face palm when some of this stuff seems to happen only to us.

But there again, we have the most unprepared, worst disciplined ....least ready team in the league.

And it shows.

These kids come here out of college believing in this clown show of a coach and staff.

Wake up time is coming.....just ask Jackson and Beachum kids.
Yes,I care.  Yes, I watch.  No, I am not happy.  And tons of beer.

Quote:The thing is, what do you think the interim coach will do to make a demonstrable difference?  Its not like they get a month to install a new system and philosophy.  They run the same playbook with a slightly different philosophy than the guy that hired them and was fired.
The objective is not to make a difference in this season's outcome, the objective is to get another guy to take over this team to see if the team will respond to this coach. The objective is to see if the interim guy makes good game decisions and manages time-outs and the clock well. The objective is to see if the interim guy can handle running the organization. The objective is to establish the interim guy as either a candidate or not.

The current coach is a failure, there is no point in keeping a failure.

Regards..................the Chiefjag
I care because the Jags are my team, how could I not?  I want them to just win dammit, and I'm not very happy with the way the season's going.  If you're numb or don't care, you've crossed into apathy.  If too many people do that then I suppose the team will end up somewhere else eventually.  Maybe by then I'll be apathetic too though and it won't bother me.

Watched them 100% until they reached 2-8; after that (and not firing the HC), it was more like 'car wreck' observation (bad, but can't look away).  Lately, I watch them more on RedZone when they pop up after scoring a TD, which is to say, I don't see them much.  More likely to see them on RZ as we get scored on in ever increasingly creative and bizzaro ways.  I want to watch. but the RedZone concept is so much better than the alternative of watching the 30% quality and 70% crap product that comes with a full Jaguar broadcast.  Life is too short....

Whenever Hanson goes "And then this just happened in Jacksonville" I almost always expect it to be a pick 6.... It's sad.
