Dave said they had a top 4 in my mind before drafting. It went Myles Garrett, Solomon Thomas, Jamal Adams and Leonard Fournette. Let's say San Francisco goes Adams after the Chicago trade, at that point it's between Thomas and Fournette. Do we take Thomas in that situation or was Leonard priority #1?
Depends on how different the grades were. Maybe the even had Fournette graded over Thomas
I'd have taken Thomas in that scenario and I have a feeling they would have too.
Then they could still go with Robinson in the second and take a RB in the third (Foreman) or fourth (Perine, Gallman, Conner).
It would have been Solomon Thomas and I still think they trade up to get Cam Robinson if he's still on the board on day two. They may have changed their minds about Smoot in RD3 if they felt their was more value at RB to select Conner or Foreman as cited earlier by RonSwanson.
I think they would have went Cook in round 2.
I think they would have still drafted Fournette.
