Bill Mac Atee, former Buffalo Bill defensive back Steve Tasker, and former Jaguars and NFL quarterback Steve Beuerlein, are announcing the Jaguars road game out west down Interstate 10 with the 2012 AFC South Champions Houston Texans at Reliant Stadium this Sunday afternoon, seen primarily in Southern Texas, Savannah, Georgia, and in Florida on Gainesville, Orlando, and Jacksonville on WTEV CBS channel 47, seen live on HD.  Smile

WAWS FOX channel 30 will also televise the Panthers @ Dolphins early regional, and Cowboys @ N. Y. Giants primary late, NFL On FOX doubleheader games locally  in the Jacksonville area, also seen live on HD.          ^_^

Wonder if Beuerlein will show his obvious bias toward the Jags !!

Also, we cannot forget the great memories of Boselli with the Texans.

Related to this thread,   it was mentioned on NFL Radio on Sirius/ XM earlier today that Dan Dierdorf,  who is the analyst on the Jets-Ravens game,  will be retiring at the end of the season.   This after being involved with the NFL as a player or broadcaster for 43 years.

Why does the college football listing say Ohio State goes to Illinois this week? That game was last week. The Buckeyes host Indiana this Saturday.

I also don't understand why everybody who has a game to watch will see the same game and the blacked-out areas are not even close to where the game is played.

Honestly would outside of one of these teams fans would want to watch the game.  It's pretty boring to watch 2 bad teams play each other.

At least it might be competitive Big Grin
To be announced is getting the most TV time!

Dan Dierdorf will be leaving CBS at the end of this year. I always liked Dierdorf. He was one of my favorite announcers. I thought the #2 team of Gumbel/Dierdorf was better that the top team of Nantz/Simms.

You listen to NFL radio? I do too. I love Moving the Chains. Ross Tucker does a good job too. Press Pass which is one of their lesser known Saturday morning show is also very good for NFL junkies.

That is what I said about the Redskins/Vikings and Falcons/Buccaneers games. Look at how they turned out.

Remember two negatives equal a positive. When you match two bad teams, you get a good game.

I always preferred the Nantz/Simms team and wished they would be assigned to a Jaguars game.

Dierdorf has been a broadcaster so long he covered the Ice Bowl on NBC. He told everyone watching at home he ate his coffee.

He was 18 years old, so I doubt it.

Pro update on Wednesday, College update on Thursday.

The blackouts are for NFL TV rules.

I know you are trying to be funny but he actually does. He has referred to the Jaguars as "we" and "us" before.

Actually, I think what he is referring to as the "Ice Bowl" is the AFC Championship game between the Bengals and Chargers in Cincinnati. Bengals won their first trip to the Superbowl that day.

That would make more sense. But I don't think anybody calls that The Ice Bowl.

I remember seeing something on NFL Films and those are the two coldest games in NFL history.

I've notice a bit of favoritism from Beurlein too.  He made some money from the Jags before being supplanted by his back-up, so why not?  I got a kick out of it early in this season actually as he attempted to make excuses for Gabbert.  He's not a "dynamic personality" or anything in the booth - but the does a good job. I don't see him ever making the cut for any primetime games, though.

So how do you explain the fact the book about the Ice Bowl says Dan Dierdorf was the color analyst for that game?

The blackouts are for NFL TV rules.

Blackouts are for the area the game is played in. The blacked out areas are in California and Arizona. The game is in New Jersey. Explain that.

I don't even know when that game was played. And why did you call me a man?

Maybe you're thinking of Frank Gifford.

What do you think he would have said at the Broncos game in Week 6?

I totally forgot about him.
