Even though we lost - I was so proud of our home crowd today - hopefully we changed some minds about our "energy" - did it read as well on television as it did in the stands?  I really felt like the crowd stayed in it today - it was a lot more fun than it has been in a while...

The stadium looked half full on TV

It was a good crowd and stayed in the game a lot longer because we were more competitive.

Pinning the Cardinals close to their endzone was awesome.

It also has to be said that a few thousand veterans were there (with free tickets) due to today being a Military Appreciation day.

Really?  It was pretty full until late in the 3rd early 4th....

TV captures the east side of the stadium with most of the camera shots looking at the club sections. We go through this discussion every game. For whatever reason, those people prefer not to be in their seats most of the game. It was a decent crowd today considering the current state of the team.

True and True.
I was at the game and I really thought it looked and was a lot of empty teal seats.  It was about 1/2 full.  I also judge the capacity by the traffic in the concession areas in the corridors.  It was easy to get around today.

Maybe I am just a crazy homer - but I felt like we shook Palmer up a little in the NEZ on a series or 2 - especially the guy with the Palmer face and the hot dog Smile

I sit in the east club and am always amazed at the people that spend the entire game inside. You go inside and there are probably 100 tables and everyone is full the entire game.

I think it filled in nicely. Seriously, we are a 1-9 team. No team around the league is 1-9 playing in front of a packed house.

It was probably the least full this year, but the fans tht were there were into the game and cheering loud. As FBT said, 1-9 team playing poorly.
"Half full" is hyperbole, but the crowds have been gradually shrinking.  If I had to guess, I'd say we had 55K there yesterday.  Winning 3 games over the last couple of years will do that, but we're down to the die hards now and they are behind the team although it's tough some days.  When the Jags become a contenders again, the place will be packed.

I saw too many empty seats, but to be expected with the poor record.

The crowds have been gradually shrinking, but there's a core there that continues to show despite the fact they know it probably won't be a win they're coming to watch.  There were more patches of empties today than in weeks past, but there were also areas of the stadium that were solid as ever.

Agree. And it's like that with any team. Miami and Tampa had thousands of empty seats too yesterday. You think people in Atlanta and Houston will be filling up seats between now and the end of the year? For some reason the national media likes to single us out as some anamoly.
The team gave out 7,000 freebies to military, retired military, kids of military, anyone owning a GI Joe doll,etc...so that helped.

The stadium looked half full from the stands, too.

I think it was a decent crowd considering the state of the team, but from where I sat in the East stands, the West stands had large swaths of empty seats.  I don't think entire rows got up and went to the concession stand at the same time.  I don't think there were more than 45,000 people in attendance.

That I agree with.   My section in the East stands, section 237, was pretty empty.    From my experience, there are a lot of single game tickets sold in that section, so in accordance with your statement above, it may be the casual fans that are not coming now.
