AFC South is the worst by far.

"More like the most hilarious division in teh NFL"

If the whole division is cursed, why do the Colts have the 2nd seed in the AFC this deep in to the season?

Because you have to set up the joke first before you reveal the punchline.

Colts remaining games:

Cardinals

Titans

Bengals

Texans

Chiefs

Jaguars

We have a game lead on the Bengals. The Patriots and Colts are tied in the loss column. But the Patriots must play the Broncos Sunday night. If they lose there we could even lose to KC late in the year and still win the second seed on tie-breaker rules.

The big games left:

Cardinals- They are 6-4 and much tougher than people think. Their head coach of course knows our team very well.

Bengals- A win here gives us the "like opponents" tie breaker against the Patriots.  The Bengals have already beaten the Patriots. Very quietly, this could be the battle for the #2 seed in the Conference. There is a good chance the winner of this game will get the second bye.

Chiefs-Believe it or not, if the Patriots lose to the Broncos this game really won't have the huge impact it may seem on the surface.

The Rams game taught us to never take anything for granted. But the Colts should expect to win at home against the Titans, Jaguars and Texans. This makes the games I highlighted paramount.

The Colts could clinch the division next week. This means they will have a playoff spot locked up on Thanksgiving weekend! Even during Manning's best years I can't recall clinching a division title that ridiculously early. Amazing!

Its less impressive than it sounds when the second place team in the division is 2 games under .500. 8-8 would be sufficient to win the South.

Agreed. My line about clinching ridiculously early wasn't intended to be a compliment to the Colts. But an indictment agains the rest of the division.

I'm a Bengals fan/game attendee. I'll be at that game. Can't wait!

Anyway, the Bengals still have a very rough schedule, for them.

Not only do they play the Colts, but:

@ Chargers - (Bengals usually aren't that strong in the West Coast)

@ Pittsburgh - (as bad as the Steelers have been, this is never an easy task for Cincy)

vs Vikings - ok, this one they should handle

vs Ravens - the last game of the year, and very likely to determine the AFCN winner

Bengals schedule is tough. Ravens and Steelers are two teams Cincy has trouble with.

A positive for them though: Cincy has not lost a game at home this year. If it holds true (vs Colts, Vikings, Ravens), that will get them to at least 10-6, assuming they lose their 2 remaining road games.

I'm really hoping for the Bengals to win the AFCN. They have been an excellent home team. If they have to play on the road in the playoffs, on wildcard weekend, they'll likely lose for the 3rd year in a row.

I was looking at playoff scenarios and would love to funnel the Broncos there for Wild card weekend in a #4 vs. #5 matchup. Your defense is excellent. I think outdoors in bad weather on a playoff Sunday, the Bengals would have a shot to take out the Broncos early, and thus open up the AFC for everybody.

Well, it's possible if Cincy can get them at home. I think it would be a good game. Cincy looks really good at home, as does Denver. Denver, on the road, looks very beatable.
Quote:Its not really. The North is still bad. The South is just worse by a mile. AFC South is a joke this year.

I never said the AFCN is good. Just pointing out it i not nearly as bad as the AFCS.

Agreed. Especially with that Defense in January Cincinnati weather.
