Quote:And where were all these people that believed that? Or didn't believe that? My memory must be failing me.

Many board members predicted a loss at Tennessee. Just look at the old threads.

Anyway, I believe the Cardinals are not as good as their 5-4 record, but I am not expecting a win either.

People predicting that the Jaguars would lose had very little to do with the Titans or Chargers or anybody else's record.

They were predicting the Jaguars would lose because they are currently a really bad team.

Quote:If it snows Sunday, and I know that's not in the long range forecast, the Cardinals will fold like a cheap tent. Mark my words, JW.
Oh yeah. Remember that game they played in New England during the 2008 season? One of the most lopsided games in recent memory.
having watched 0 Arizona games, I don't have any basis for saying this, but I would think that we give them a run for thier money.  If we get blown out by that team, I'll proabably be looking for a very tall building to jump from.

That being said, having finally gotten of the schnied (sp?) I could see us running off a couple wins before the season is out.  I know it will bring tears to the Bridgwater brigade (see what I did there?), but it won't bother me as long as we pick smart and well in the upcoming draft.

Let's see what happens.  I'm actually excited to watch the Jaguars play this Sunday!  First time I can say that since before Week 1!

Once Patrick Peterson takes away Cecil, and our run game is again blown up by a vastly superior front 7, how do you expect us to move the ball? The only hope we have is if the defense scores or sets us up in the opponents half twice.

Most realistic score IMO is 13-23 Cardinals.

I don't think we get blown out, but I'm not kidding myself.  If the Cards play like the tacks, they'll lose because ANY team would lose playing like that.

I bet they don't.  We'll have to play better to win, and while that's possible, I'm not holding my breath.  We have about a 1 in 5 chance against Arizona.  I hope we pull it off.
Palmers comments about our stadium were quite rude and condescending towards our fan base. I think I will be "accidentally" spilling a large cup off something about the time he is coming out of the tunnel. First question of ozone.http://www.jaguars.com/news/article-theO...92bc30a76b

I wish I could be there this week.  I hope all you folks attending will make it extra loud for Palmer on third down.

Palmers quote:

“We know this is going to be an interesting atmosphere. It’s not going to be a sold-out stadium, it’s going to be a little bit of a different energy in it and we’ve got to be prepared for that and just be ready to play football. There’s a totally different energy when a stadium is full if every seat is sold out, and when the stadium is empty there’s a different energy. You can’t worry about any of those outside distractions. You’ve just got to focus on doing your job each and every play and do what it takes to win the game regardless of how many people are watching or who is in the stands.”

This is coming from a guy currently playing for the Cardinals and used to play for the Raiders and Bengals.

Exactly.

Oaklands avg attendance this season?    51,296 ranked 32nd.   Arizona's is 1100 more than Jacksonville currently.  (ranked 28 and 29 )

I guess that's gonna be a big adjustment.

And the Jaguars get a lot of grief for the tarps. The Cardinals essentially do the same thing. Their capacity is 63k for Cardinals game. They have 10k seats on rollers they bring out for the Fiesta Bowl, Super Bowl and BCS title games. Same concept but out of sight, out of mind I suppose.

Well,, Carson Palmer may be good for a pick 6 INT. So, there is that.
Our defense is going to have fun covering L.Fitzgerald.

Their defense is going to have fun laying on our QB...

It should be a predictable game....

Pick #1 here we come....

That is not our only hope. Ace Sanders can give us great field position on a kickoff return. We can hold the Cardinals to field goals. You never know what will happen.

Sanders does punt returns.  Todman does the kickoff returns.

I think our defense and special teams are capable of keeping the score within reason  - but I don't have confidence that the offense can put up enough points to hold up their end of the bargain.
It looks like WR Michael Floyd is going to play after coming out of the Cardinals game against the Texans after the 1st QTR:

I am more worried about Poz than the offense right now. If he plays, I am confident the defense will do its job, but without him, we basically have no MLB.

Nobody cares about MLB(Major League Baseball) it's football season. Such

nonsense will not be tollerated in the football section of the Jaguars forum. Learn the rules, please.
Palmer >> Locker.   Jags don't win this game.
