the winless season still belongs to you!

I will say that I have tasted 8 weeks of disappointment.  Any 2009 Lions season ticket holder deserves a frickin medal for loyalty.

Still 16 teams in the running this year!

No complaints from me regarding the decision.
Knowing the Jags, we probably couldn't even pull off an 0-16 season right. 0-15-1 final record.

Back in 2007,  the Dolphins won a late season game in OT against the Ravens for their only win in a 1-15 season.   It's forgotten by most that the Dolphins were one play away from an 0-16 season.

Even the Baltimore Colts 0-8-1 record in the 1982 strike shortened season is in essence a non story.

No brah it was on one of the related threads I was in.

A friend of mine had extra tickets to the Dolphins win in 07, so even though it meant I'd have to miss watching the epic Jags - Steelers game, I was in attendance for that one. Cleo Lemon (lol) to Greg Camarillo (who?) was the winning combination in OT.
Seems like it would be harder to go 0-16 than 16-0.

I didn't recall who the Dolphins QB was but I do recall Greg Camarillo being on the receiving end of the play.   Unfortunately for then Dolphins HC Cam Cameron,  it was basically his own good game moment of his time as HC of the team.

On the other hand,  in the latter part of the 4th QTR of Game # 5 of the 2008 season,  Lions CB Leigh Bodden was called for a bogus Pass Interference penalty that was more likely the difference in the outcome of the game against the Vikings,  in Minnesota.   If something even slightly different happened in these two games,   it could have been the 2007 Dolphins,  not the 2008 Lions,  that went 0-16.   Not to mention,  there have been a number of other 1-15 teams over the years.

  That's a good question.

For both though,  it takes a perfect ( or imperfect ) storm for either to happen.
Haveing Gus losey goosey bradly as our HC every year increases the chances of lions not being the only team to go 0-16. He is overly postive, never gets on the players doesn't motvatiote them at all. we will always have loseing seasons with gus.

I think it is pretty easy to go 0-16. Just lose on purpose baby!
