We've been spoiled by Hall of Fame-level running back play for so long that it feels weird not having a running game.
i wouldnt say we don't have a running game,we started running the ball well early on so the tacks stacked the box and challenged henne to throw it at them on 3rd and 6 ish, he couldn't.
shorts got a good catch as did brown, mjd got some yards on the check downs and lewis had a beast reception but all in all it was poor qb and line play on our side that stopped it being a massacre.
henne looked like a mess and his two picks were terrible, the first was just stupid and he had an open check down outside in 86 but he tried to force it
with shorts all teams are double covering with one biting on that back shoulder he loves verner did that and was perfectly placed, should never have thrown it their
as for batted passes well our interior gets dominated by passrushers and that will get revamped next year which will help the run game

UKJAG34.. Summarized it best. We won despite Henne. I told my wife he must have money on us not winning a game. He tried hard to keep them in the game.
MJD clearly is hurt by a combination of factors…age, change in scheme, inept interior offensive line, no Greg Jones/Marcedes most of the season…Given these I can't be to surprised at his struggles this season.
I was glad to see MJD have the early success in the game. The guy has given his heart and soul to this team. However, I no longer see the burst or explosion that he once possessed while running.

Ok, we got a college football offensive coordinator that does NOT know how to select plays or coordinate them. The majority of them are wrapped around shot-gun-only mesh guys.

MJD is just impressive this season from a maturity stand point. When the team has been more successful he's can be sarcastic and snide with the media. All season long, he's been genuine and realistic about the whole thing. I give him a thumbs up for his approach when many were questioning him this summer over the controversy he had.

This..O but you forgot that Henne is the type of QB that puts all kinds of fear in the other teams D. Thats why the titans only had 9 in the box.
MJD is clearly not 100% and the O-line is blocking horribly. Maybe he's lost a step - maybe he hasn't Hard to tell given the injuries and O-line suck factor.
Only way he breaks 100 in a game is if the stat is padded by a couple long runs from missed tackles, IMO.

Pretty close. This has been a season of bad luck and miracles all in one season. Lost Doug Martin, Reggie Wayne and Aaron Rodgers. Gained Zac Stacy, Case Keenum, and Josh Gordon.

Fred Taylor was a first class mentor for MJD. Hopefully if truly maturing he will do the same for whoever we draft as his replacement next year. He has lost two, not one step and will be interesting to see if he agrees to a contract commensurate to his diminsihing value/ productivity or jumps at the first chance to jump ship. For me this will determine his total legacy as a Jag.
I think he's done. He doesn't have the wheels, and this offseason he questioned whether he had the desire anymore. The big money chance has passed. I can't see him signing for small money and a limited role, here or anywhere.
