Who would've thought we'd say that at all this year?

This division is so weak it's prime for the taking next year. Get a QB and fix the pass rush David. tinhorns and tacks are in a tailspin and the clots are busy waisting 1st round picks on an average RB.

We can own this division if we play our cards right.

Anyone know the last time this happened?

I don't know but I can tell you the last 4 wins this team had was against division opponents
Congratulations to the Jaguars! Well deserved victory. We can disagree on a lot. But it is a good day for all of us when the Titans are defeated.

I looked it up 2010 week 3

Jags 17 over tacks 6

Cowboys 38 over clots 35 (in OT)

Eagles 34 over tinhorns 24
Helps alot with strength of schedule if it comes down to a tie breaker with the bucs.

I really can't wait for the Colts and Jaguars rivalry to be renewed next year, or in the coming years. As I believe that each of our teams will be competing for the division crown year in and year out. It should be a real fun time to be a Colts, or Jaguars fan. The Jags demonstrated today that we are a young team that is slowly, but surely improving and as soon as we draft a franchise QB next year, we should be properly set.
This thread belongs in the AFC South forum, but I can say this: We already knew the Texans are terrible and the Titans are not very good either. It is a weak division. But the Colts should be the team that won, not the Jaguars. (Yes, we did get lucky with the safety.)

The clots got slapped by the Rams what are you smoking it should've been the clots?

I agree 100%!!!

I know for me personally, this board has a much better feel and vibe when both teams are competitive. Its just not the same for me here when one team is down. Its more fun being here when both teams are good. Lets all hope this is the case in the near future.

What this does prove is what i have been saying for months. The Jaguars are not that far away. All of the talk about the worst team in NFL history can now stop, And the team can work on building towards a better future. Remember the Colts were 2-14 in 2011 and bounced to 11-5 the next year with a change at QB. The Chiefs are making the exact same transformation this year. Anyone who thinks the Jaguars can't be competitive in the near future doesn't know the NFL.

Again congrats on the victory. I was at Lucas Oil Stadium with my phone giving everyone int the stands a play by play updated on the Jags/Titans game today. The Jags has a lot of fans pulling for them in my section around 4PM today.

I can't hate the clots, it takes work for me to dislike you guys!
Finally. Now the Teddy talk will cease....Hopefully
I hate the clots almost most as much as the tacks.

I don't think we'll be ready to take the division next year. We barely beat the tacks. And they were playing very awful. Let's wait until we actually string a few wins together before getting ready to stake a claim on the division. We've been so bad for so long it seems that people get excited any time we actually win. Heck people get excited when we lose by 16 to the Broncos.

Best news would be if the Titans decide to give Locker more time due to his injury and think he's the answer.

Why? We... still need a Quarterback. Teddy is generally considered the best prospect in the class. I guess you don't want us to get that or something. So either you're a fan of another AFC South team... or I'm not really sure.

Because you love Chad Henne or because you hate the Jaguars making the playoffs?

Maybe not take the division next year, I'm just pointing out this division is weak and we can rise faster then people think.

I don't think you're that far off. The t'horns look really old all of a sudden. The tacks? Please! And the clots are not that great either, plus THEY GAVE UP A 1st ROUNDER!!! LOL

Our GM looks pretty smart with his 4th and 5th for a top 10 LT. I have kicked dirt about that trade, but if you look at the rest of the division, Caldwell looks like a genius so far... Just saying....

Two years and I think we'll be ready to compete for the division (baring stroke of luck for tinhorns/tacks/clots or bad luck for us) If we pick the right Quarterback, and he develops well in a year, and Caldwell drafts well, and signs good Free Agents, this team could be really good. At the very least we should be in the wild card hunt.

I still don't like the Monroe trade but I'll say this with 10 picks going into the draft Caldwell has a real chance to turn this team around FAST. That's a whole lot of young talent or you package them up and get at least 4 solid starters.

If the division wasn't so weak I'd say 2 years, but I'm seeing a division prime for the taking. I'm not so much seeing the rise of the Jaguars as a real threat but the deteriation of the AFC South.
We got a better division record than the Titans!!
