She got into a car accident, her phone was dead and she went to a house looking for assistance, and she ended up shot & killed instead.

Sounds like typical socialist, anti-gun propaganda brought to you by the agenda driven media disguised as some [BLEEP] story about a family mourning the loss of their innocent loved-one whom got her skull hollowed out by a proud American.

Don't tread on me.

I'm looking at you, stranded, unarmed young women, looking for help.
She clearly had it coming.
Who was the shooter and why did they do it? I'm not attempting to justify it but it sure would be nice to know the whole story before passing snarky judgment. What if it was a person who had been brutalized and robbed on other occasions by people using ploys to gain entrance? What if it was a mentally unbalanced person? We just don't know.

Not many details, it's out there that she was shot in the back of the head. If true I'm not sure how she, or anyone for that matter, poses a threat with their head turned. No word on if the person had been brutalized & robbed before or if they were mentally unbalanced.

So you can recognize an hyperbole but you don't understand why it's being used?
Also note the article doesn't give any information on what happened, only that the family thinks she was looking for help after her car broke down.

who knows did she show up to a strangers house at 3AM banging on the door? Was she told to leave? Had the homeowner or shooter previously been targeted in a high crime district? Maybe the owner just didn't like her and figured what the heck she's on my property?

which one's more likely who knows, but hey it's cool let's take political shots on a board that doesn't discuss politics. Bravo High Score you da man! fighten for da people!

give me a break..........

So this girl gets killed and we need to know more facts. The "thug" gets killed and he had it coming.

Really? So you're being willfully ignorant?

1.) You get killed robing someone you had it coming. I haven't even gone through that thread but it's pretty cut and dry, the right to self defense, it's an American thing I guess.

2.) I never said she deserved to die or suggested it, I pointed out the article is beyond vague on what happened, they only give what the family of the deceased assumes might have happened, that's not even remotely close to know what happened yet! But hey that's enough for some to take cheap shots at a certain type of people then go for it, but don't expect me to say nothing in response.

Yea "Don't tread on me" and proud of it.

Now you're being willfully obtuse.
The following interested me:

Quote:Police on Wednesday asked the Wayne County Prosecutor’s Office to issue a warrant for the resident in the fatal shooting, but late Wednesday, the office said it sent back the request.

“We have requested further investigation by the police that must be submitted to our office before a decision will be made,” said Maria Miller, a spokeswoman for Wayne County Prosecutor Kym Worthy.

What that tells me is that it's not cut and dried. If the shooter was clearly in the wrong, they would be facing charges. It's not my opinion, but that of the prosecuter. You know, the one responsible for looking at the facts and determining if a prosecutable crime had taken place......

This person may or may not face charges. My opinion won't change that. The shooter may have been justified to do what they did, or they may have been completely out of line. I certainly am not going to base that off of an article in the media. Everyone knows that the media is slanted more than the Leaning Tower of Pisa these days.

My stance is nobody knows enough based upon that article to have an argument either way.
Here is an update to the story.

McBride's death is being investigated as a homicide and a arrest warrant will be served to the guy who shot and killed her.

The shooter owned a gun, so obviously he/she was qualified to own one.
