Has to be legacy.

He is a nice player but it's obvious that Kelvin does not have Fred's ability. I am sure that won't stop alot of Jaguars fans from wanting him though.

Homie is playing with 1 ankle.

I was under the impression that Kelvin is a freshman.
He is

That's why he said "2016"

Then why are we expecting him to equal his father's professional ability as a freshman?

Personally I'm not but keep in mind Freddie T was no slouch as a freshman. He wasn't the main back at the time starting two games as true freshman, but picking up 873 yards and 8 TDs.

He doesn't have the speed that his dad has and I don't think he is going to get much faster.
Keep in mind that Fred Taylor was a complete freak athlete.  There aren't many of those running around.

This.....If you watch any of his HS footage the young man outran all his competition. It will come. Right now he needs the game to slow down for him and when it does I think he will be surprising a lot of folks with his speed, balance and change of direction.
You don't take a running back in the first round anymore. You can find guys in the middle rounds good enough to start.

1. Todd Gurley> Kelvin Taylor 2. Gurley is great but as a Georgia fan he has too many injuries and that sets him back. 3. Never draft a rb in the first round when the nfl is a passing league

Fred wasn't the Fred we knew as a freshman in college, either...
Quote:Yea, because he already dominated this game and he wasn't able to do any training for weeks because of the ankle injury.
That's not what it looked like.

Doubt it.

If the Jaguars play things right, Trey Watts (J.C. Watts' son) of Tulsa will be in the Jacksonville backfield next season. Runs a lot like Emmit. A terrific possession running back.

Yes please.

Yup. I'd take one in the back end of the first but not with a top 20 pick. Draft one that fits the scheme, run him into the ground, repeat.
I think he is a little slow.

Fixed.
Kelvin Taylor just started playing and looks pretty good with a bad offense around him.  Can't we give him a year or two to develop?  Holy crap.
