FA:  A guard and /or a center.   Maybe a pass rusher if the price is right and he projects to have double digit sacks for multiple seasons.

A fast OLB.

Draft:

1 - QB

2 - pass rusher (one in FA won't be enough)

3 - TE

4  -Big Ugly Run Stuffing DT/NT

4a , 5,   - trade back into  early/middle 4th and take a RB

5a

6  }   LB , kick-off return specialist, DT in any order

You're right.

However, I doubt we'd be spending any rollover money either.  We don't need it.  I look at rollover money as a "Break Glass In Case of Emergency" button.

Quote:I hope you are right and that the Jaguars can take advantage of this.

I'd love to have Alex Mack here.

I think we will be able to take advantage.  The Browns, however, have room to retain Mack if they so choose.  It's up to Lombardi if he wants to or not.  Same goes with Greg Hardy in Carolina.

Does winning only 8 games in 3 seasons qualify as an emergency?  Cause that's what we're looking at.  An 8-40 record if we win ONE game this season.
Quote:Cutler? no

I've never been a big fan of his but I just want to have someone that I know can score more than 4 points in the 1st half.  That is our average number of points in the 1st half this season.

sign mack, oher, charles johnson/hardy

resign mjd to a reasonable contract

draft clowney, carr, lb, og, fales, te, rb, og

Salary cap emergency.  Like we need to resign a franchise level player and have no cap room.

Would that be the worst 3 season stretch in history? Averaging less than 3 wins a season"?

No kidding.  The Broncos are looking like idiots right now.

I knew what you meant - just thought I'd put a spin on it.   The Jags are one of only 5 teams with cap space that equal more than 10% of the total cap number.  (around 15% for the Jags)

So - yeah you're right -they won't need to spend all of it.  To put that in perspective - they are currently spending less than 14% of their cap on the entire offensive line's salary.

FA01 - I don't know all the specific numbers of the Jags cap space. Do you know the figures in $$ on cap space and how much they are required to spend in the coming offseason? (aren't they required to spend a certain portion of rollover money?)
The only players worth signing in FA are Greg Hardy and Alex Mack. But with the buffoon at the helm we'll get some Alan Ball type signees as that would be the best route to relocating the franchise.

There's plenty of QB's to draft:

Mariota

Bridgewater

Carr

Fales

Matthews
Dream offseason:  Get. The. Quarterback!!!

Draft 4 of them if you have to.  Get the quarterback and get this thing rolling.

You do write for Comedy Central, don't you?

Do you make a career of busting balls or do you just do it as a hobby?

Pasztor is better than Oher, he is a pitiful football player.

I don't know why he put Oher on there.  Outside form the couple big games from Blackmon, Pasztor has been our best player on offense.

I get what you're trying to say but I disagree with the whole draft multiple QB's thing.

They need to evaluate the QB's figure out which one they want and then do whatever it takes to get that QB, but if they do a good job evaluating and ranking players there's no need to draft multiple QB's. We have to many holes to fill all over the roster to be double tapping positions like QB, RB, OT ect....

is pasztor really doing that well? i hope he continues to progress so then we'll only need to upgrade the interior line.  i know bradfield has been doing a decent job manning the left side.

Pasztor has actually played significantly better than Bradfield.  ( Did you not see Bradfield give up 2 sacks on consecutive plays vs SD?)

i didnt really expect bradfield to be good, just do enough to survive. i know pasztor had  a good game vs the rams and broncos but havent really paid attention much the previous two games because i had to watch them on the interwebs and it got so frustrating that i decided to not watch the 2nd half  Wallbash
