This dude had been super injury prone. And this is the first tryout injury I've ever heard of.
Was Monroe missing a block what caused it?

Sorry. had to go there.

Durability was always a concern with him leading up to the draft, but I thought people were exaggerating it because Jim Tressel said after every injury, "He could have gone back in if we needed him."

Why isn't he a Cardinal anymore?

Lets use some deductive reasoning here.

What is your deductive reasoning?

Injuries. Can't stay healthy.

Neither could Fred Taylor, so that means nothing.

Comparing the injury history of Beanie Wells to Fred Taylor is just silly. Fred Taylor was never as constantly injured as Beanie Wells. Not even close. Also, he was a much better player than Wells ever was.

However, Fred Taylor was actually good.

So was Beanie. Was he not Arizona's starting running back?

The unfortunate Beanie Wells injury and his injury history reminds me in large part of the torn Achilles Tendon injury that Lions WR Ryan Broyles suffered yesterday.     While Broyles'  injury didn't happen in a tryout,    it happened when he was in the Fair Catch process on a Punt Return.      The prior two season,   Broyles suffered torn ACL's.      Being the most productive pass catcher in NCAA Division IA history seems like ages ago for Broyles.

Beanie Wells had his moments as a starting RB for Arizona but no one every confused him for Fred Taylor on the NFL level.        The latter went on to have a tremendous career despite injuries that would have derailed most careers of lesser talented players.
Fred Taylor gained 1,200 yards in his rookie season. It took Beanie Wells until his third season to rack up that much yardage. And Fred didn't even start every game! In fact, he only played in 15 of them.

Deacon,   I remember watching Barry Sanders and Fred Taylor in the same game in Taylor's rookie season.      As impressive as Barry was that day,    Fred Taylor was nothing short of sensational in the Jaguars comfortable victory that December day.        That was a game that Taylor ran wild even with Tony Boselli being out with an injury.     It was attention getting to say the least.

I wonder if the town of Jacksonville is ever going to have a talent at RB like him again. Don't get me wrong, Jones-Drew is a very talented player, but he doesn't have Taylor's lightning-in-a-bottle ability in my opinion.

Jacksonville has been indeed fortunate to have two great RB's.     As impressive of an all around RB that MJD was for most of his career,    there's no question on this end that the Fred Taylor of his early seasons looked like a first or second ballot HOFer.       In the current NFL,   the only runner that I believe would be on Taylor's pre-injury level is Adrian Peterson.       The chances of any team having a talent like this at RB in a given generation seems low.
Only an OSU homer would dare compare a bum like Wells to Fred Taylor.

Wells, in his wildest dreams, couldn't do what Taylor has done.

Wells has cemented the notion that a suckeye is a suckeye.

I'm eligible for next year's draft!

I had no idea it was possible to get hurt that bad during a fair catch.

Unfortunately that reminds me of how Reggie Wayne tore his ACL. There were no Broncos within 10 yards of him.
