Quote:I don't think that's true. Some states (not Florida) and localities even subsidize solar, and/or require utilities to accept solar into the grid even though it can be disruptive. As far as I know there's no place where solar is made more difficult.
In places where solar is required to stand on it's own without subsidies or favorable government regulations it is a losing proposition since it's not a good source of dependable electricity without expensive battery backup.
I'd also worry about how stable rooftop solar panels are in hurricane prone areas.
Solar has it's uses, but it's mainly
relegated to those living off the grid in remote locations, those willing to pay way more for electricity to "save the planet," and those conned into spending way more than advertised by unscrupulous solar dealers.
A better question is how serious the activists are when they travel needlessly to remote conferences in cushy vacation spots to create such documents as the meaningless Paris accord?
Good points. I guess I am just upset Florida hasn't embraced solar as much as California.
I would love to go solar, but am not taking out a HELOC to make that happen, nor accepting a 15 year ROI on my investment.
Plus, since we are a log ways away from solar standing on its own for most people due to the amount of energy each household consumes, connection to the grid is still a necessity, and JEA/COJ will eventually raise these fees to make going solar even more unattractive.

Cash runs the world in the sense that simple supply/demand (basic economics) dictates our power sources.
We will use the most cost effective, efficient means of power. As alternative, cheaper sources become available they are adopted and replace the old.
Necessity is the mother of invention.
Some feel the opposite is true. Particularly those who based their election loss retirement scam on it.

This accord is voluntary. A pinkey promise if you will.
In a world so piss up in so many ways, there was something comforting and maybe even hopeful where the whole world agrees and comes together.
We want to go it alone. Ok. So be it.
However there are fallacies that exist. Being voluntary, we controlled what we wanted to control.
After watching Planet Earth part 2, it is concerning of how sensitive our world is. Resilient, yes. But resilience has its limits.

We're showing leadership in following the path we feel is best for us.
Were we weak and merely a follower, we'd blindly follow the crowd.
The crowd that is MUCH less prosperous than our own country.
We made this country great, not a collection of foreign countries that aren't nearly as great as ours. You don't follow advice of those who don't know better, and who aren't better.
You model those who are successful if you want to be a success. We, not them, are the success to follow.

What part of any of the points I made was false? Just because you are swallowing a lie, I should swallow it with you? It's baffling a career compulsive liar is so openly believed by so many.

That has nothing to do with the Paris Accord.
So in response, let me say "all 57 states."

I know it's too late for you from going off the deep end (you were there long, long ago)...
It's worth reminding those blind to the extremist cause and faithful to their religion of the left:
This was not an agreement ratified by the United States.
It requires approval from the Senate, which was never received.
The [BLEEP] in chief put his name on it for us, making the United States NEVER bound to it to begin with.

I'm sorry, but this just isn't reality. There's no way anyone could really be comfortable or hopeful that China and India would keep those promises, that's a fool's errand. If we did so, actually engaged in the behaviors required, we would simply be hamstringing ourselves (again) to create the Socialists goal of global wealth transfer. I'm glad that Trump bailed because I don't feel any guilt for being the best nation in the world. Once we get some more of Trump's agenda implemented then we can rebuild the gap we used to enjoy as the world's foremost country.

America makes positive steps to pulling itself out of the abyss 0bama sent us towards, and nutjob leftists are actually MAD about it.
If you don't wake up and change, you're bound for a complete breakdown whenever it is reality sets in.
Fantastic jobs news, the market celebrated the rejection of the false accord, yet that's somehow a bad thing.
Simply.
Asinine.

Holy cow the amount of pure projection in here from the science deniers is astounding. You believe and take ever stance your overlords tell you to take and assume the left is doing the same thing. It's not a leftist idea that climate change is real and happening and needs to be addressed. It's science and the work of brilliant people all over the world that came to that conclusion and the rest of the world has accepted the conclusion and the left accepts it as well. Your blindness and acceptance of lies because you have chosen party over country and planet is breathtaking.
