Bridgewater or trade down and take Best Available QB. Missing out on either of those two options will make me cry. Mariota isn't in Bridgewater's class. It's really not even close... .Manziel, well, I actually like him despite my best efforts not to.

I'd Manziel over Mariota but neither are worth first round picks. Bridgewater is the only starter quality qb on the board

Quote:Bridgewater is the best Quarterback in the 2014 draft. If you want to Jaguars to have the most success, you want this team to draft Bridgewater. Period.
This is Blatantly WRONG!!! If you want the Jaguars to plateau after marginal improvement then the Jags may want to draft a QB like Bridgewater. If you want to ascend into the elite for years to come the Jags should draft a Mariota type QB.

Bridgewater has all the physical tools and the mental tools. Not really a debate here.

You are correct sir. Mariota is in a class of his own. He's a playmaker!

I'm not going to list the amount of NFL games I've been to around the country nor the amount of years I owned Jags ST's. And for that matter the amount of games I've watched on TV just like anyone else. I'll just let you continue to assume and talk out of your anus like the imbecile you are. You are not a better fan nor are you more correct in your opinion than anyone else. Fact of the matter is that no one know's for sure. Here's my point:
I'm tired of the same old slop feed we eat as Jag fans. I'm ready to be entertained and Mariota is highly entertaining must watch football. Bridgewater is bland and comes with no guarantees no matter how loud you and the gardenian hyenas bark about it.

I think Teddy is the best prospect at the moment but to say he is the only starting caliber QB is a joke. There is atleat 4 or 5 QBs right now that will declare that will be better than the Rams, Jags, Bucs, Bills, Browns, Vikings, Texans, and maybe Titans QB's right now.

The problem with these parrots is that they wont debate. They ridicule anyone who suggests a different idea. They're blinded by a kid that honestly has some valid concerns but they wont acknowledge them. After so many years of bad qb for this franchise you'd think they would want to consider all the qbs qualities. But no it's bridgewater or bust and if you don't agree your not a Jaguar fan.

To be quite frank with you, I would not be surprised if Bridgewater is the only qb drafted in the top 15. These spread option qbs are extremely overrated.
I watched the broncos game and I saw several things.
1. Griffin cannot make a pass read to save his life
2. He stares down his receiver
3. When his first read is taken away, he panics
4. When he is unsure, his accuracy looks terrible
All these things come with a spread option qb

Those are some honestly good points. But that speed!!! Plus look at what our WR's attributes are. They are big time YAC guys. It fits perfectly with that type of qb.

That's pretty funny. You're assumption is actually pretty solid this time. Considering IT is my profession and has been for over 13 years and I've been known to have a drink or two while at IT conventions.

I think that this is just pure stubbornness on your part to not acknowledge the possibility that he could make those reads. Mariota has made unbelievable strides in his mental game and his ceiling is arguably higher than Bridgewater's
